In my undergraduate project, I worked with a Digital Signal Processor chip, dsPIC30F3013, from Microchip Inc. I developed a low-cost processor-based Electronic Organizer for domestic household use in India. The gadget provided assistance by generating timely reminders for house-hold chores. Very low cost and ease of operation was the forte of the device.

The paper documents the detailed implementation of a prototype of the device on a generic 16 bit fixed point DSP evaluation board, dsPICDEM 2 also from Microchip Inc.
