Dak Lak province is on top of a mountain range, with the highest peak, Chu Yang Sin, at 2,442 m. The weather is rather stable, and the sky is less polluted than in other provinces. It would be an ideal place to build an observatory for astronomers. To prepare for that, we already built a smaller observatory inside the campus of Tay Nguyen University. This TNUO currently has a few facilities for research and education.
It consists of an optical telescope, a radio telescope, and a radio interferometer array.
