Taylor Snyder was born and raised in Dillsburg, Pennsylvania and began her training at Dance Revelation. Taylor received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance with dual concentrations in Performance/Choreography and Business Entrepreneurship. Currently Snyder is a contracted full-time faculty member at Dance Revelation, where she teaches, choreographs, serves as a business admin, and helps run social media. Taylor is also a teacher and choreographer at Carlisle Dance. She has training in Modern, Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Heels, Bharatanatyam, and Afro-Colombian techniques. While attending Slippery Rock she got the opportunity to participate in Slippery Rock University Dance Theatre, performing and choreographing work. Her solo work entitled The Blueprint was selected to be performed in Slippery Rock’s winter concert.
During her time at Slippery Rock, Snyder was selected to perform in a work titled The Shade by Teena Custer. In 2022, Snyder was casted in Afro-Colombian touring company, Palenque. She later traveled to Cartegena, Colombia with the company to restage a dance titled Merecumbé. Additionally, Snyder was the public relations coordinator for the company. Snyder was casted in the restaging of Nathan Trice’s Recognizing Women Project: Their Speech Is Silver, Their Silence Is Gold, which was later chosen to represent Slippery Rock at the American College Dance Association (ACDA) in spring of 2024. Snyder was selected for a residency choreographed by Cameron Mckinney, titled Strange Attractor in fall of 2024. The following year, Strange Attractor was selected for the Northeast ACDA Conference at Rutgers University. In 2024, Snyder presented her research Commercial Dance: negotiating aesthetics and industry at the Dance on Paper symposium. Furthermore, Snyder’s work IN POPULAR DEMAND was created as part of her research and was later featured in the senior BFA Capstone concert Roots to Branches. In 2025, Snyder got the opportunity to travel to LA to further develop her research and training in commercial dance. Taylor has had the opportunity to study under and work with instructors such as Nora Ambrosio, Shakia Barron, Jesse Factor, Teena Marie Custer, Emmalee Hallinan, Renne Harris, Lindsay Viatori, Erin Kouwe, Cameron McKinney, Ursula Payne, Slowdanger, Melissa Teodoro, Irishia Romaine, Nathan Trice, and more.
In 2021, Taylor received her Barre Certification through Balanced Body. In November of 2025, Snyder became a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Taylor is currently working towards her certification in Nutrition, Wellness Coaching, and Strength & Conditioning. During her time at Slippery Rock University, Snyder was the secretary of the National Honor Society of Dance Arts and was co-president of the Dance Advisory Board. Furthermore, Snyder was a dance mentor at Slippery Rock University for two years. In 2025, Snyder served as the Student Wellness Coordinator. Snyder has business experience with Dance Revelation and H2L studio as a business intern. Additionally, she received her Social Media Certification in 2025. In 2025, Snyder was chosen to collab with entertainment company Terry Myers Entertainment, for a shoot. She hopes to continue growing in her practice, travel and become a part of various projects, work with several choreographers, and create; to inspire others and share her passion for dance.
