Texas Notary Fee Chart
Texas Government Code § 406.024 sets out the standard fees a Notary Public may charge for notary public services. In addition, § 406.111 sets out the fee of an online notarization.
All services by Dickie Taylor Notary Public will incur a travel charge and/or technology fee when online, which is separate from Texas Notary Fees.
Acknowledgment / Proof of Acknowledgement – first signature $10.00
An Acknowledgement / Proof of Acknowledgement is a certification that a signer personally appeared before the notary, was identified by the notary, and formerly declared to the notary that the signer willingly signed the document for its intended purpose.
Acknowledgment / Proof of Acknowledgement – each additional signature $1.00
An Acknowledgement / Proof of Acknowledgment is a certification that a signer personally appeared before the notary, was identified by the notary, then formerly declared to the notary that the signer willingly signed the document for its intended purpose.
Jurat – including oath or affirmation $10.00
A Jurat is a certification that a signer personally appeared before the notary with an unsigned document, was identified by the notary, was put under sworn oath or affirmation to attest the statements in the document were true, then signed the document is the presence of the notary.
Verification – including oath or affirmation $10.00
A Verification is a certification that a signer personally appeared before the notary, was identified by the notary, acknowledged signing the document, was put under sworn oath or affirmation and verified the statements in the document were true.
Oath-Affirmation – Witness/Deponent in a Deposition $10.00
The notary administers an oath or affirmation to a witness/deponent in a deposition, including completing the certificate, affixing the seal, and other connected business.
Certified Copy of Non-Recordable Document – per certificate $10.00
A Certified Copy of a Non-Recordable Document is a certification that a document was presented to the notary by the document’s custodian, was photocopied by the notary, and is a true, exact, complete and unaltered copy. The document is neither a public record nor a publicly recordable document.
Certified Copy of Notarial Record – per page $1.00
A Certified Copy of a Notarial Record is a certification, pursuant to Texas Government Code § 406.014(c), that a preceding or attached document is a true, exact, complete and unaltered copy made by the notary of a notarial record, the original of which is held in the custody of the notary. The Texas Secretary of State suggests that all requests for copies of entries in a notary’s record book be made in writing through a certified letter to the notary’s official address on file. Requests should include the name(s) of the document signer(s), the type of document(s) signed, and the month and year of the notarization.
All Other Notarial Acts – not otherwise provided for $10.00
Performing any other notarial act or completing a certificate and seal not otherwise provided for under Texas Government Code § 406.024.
