My Research

My MS and PhD are in the fields of Health Services Research in Pharmacy. My PhD minor is in the field of Industrial and Systems Engineering, with a concentration in Health Systems Engineering and a certificate in Patient Safety. I gained additional training through my research assistantship position in Dr. Michelle Chui's Systems Approach to Medication Safety (SAMS) Laboratory. Earning my Doctorate of Pharmacy in 2017, I'm able to apply my clinical experiences to my graduate training to take a comprehensive approach to community-based research!

I have produced over 20 papers, abstracts, and presentations all with the emphasis on promoting quality patient care and safety - from pharmacy workforce utilization, pharmacist well-being, health information technology (health IT), to broader health outcomes commentary.

In addition to working in the SAMS Laboratory, I have received funding from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), the Midwest Center for Occupational Health and Safety - Education Research Center Pilot Program Grant (funded by the National Institute for Occupational Health), and the National Council for Prescription Drug Programing (NCPDP) Foundation.

I am currently funded from Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) T32 Postdoctoral Research Fellowship.
