A Digital Footprint is anything that a person posts digitally. Responses can be shared on things like social media, videos, posts on apps, emails, blogs, etc. These digital posts and responses can be retrieved forever once they are posted, even if the user has deleted them. Colleges, employers, etc. will often try to look at these posts to find out more about their applicants and in some cases whether or not they should be hired or selected.
