James Holland

Coach James Holland is entering his 6th season as Head Coach at Taylor HS. Coach Holland and staff has steered back to back winning seasons at Taylor the past 2 seasons. Coach Holland was named CHL Coach of the Year in 2021. With 16 years of coaching experience Coach Holland and his staff is looking forward to continuing the development of the youth through the game of basketball.

During our camp high school players and coaches will teach the fundamentals of a great basketball player as well as having fun! We will continue to build upon a great basketball tradition and work closely with the Three Rivers Community.

Jacob Sweigard

Jacob Sweigard is a former Varsity Basketball and Football player for the Taylor Yellow Jackets. During his football career at Taylor he was the first three year captain in the school’s history. While playing wide receiver, Jacob set both the single season reception record, and the all time career reception record for the Jackets. His senior year he was named 1st team All-CHL and 2nd team all district for Division III. During his basketball career he was a 1 year varsity captain, and was named 2nd team All-CHL during his senior year.

Jacob says Taylor athletics have played a major role in developing him into the man he is today. Jacob will be heading to Miami (OH) next year to pursue a degree in business, as well as in education, but wants to continue to give back to the Taylor community as well. When the opportunity arose to help run and organize the 2021 youth camp he jumped at the opportunity. His goal is to help young athletes have a great time playing sports and to learn the fundamentals of the game. Jacob’s vision and goal is to help develop kids’ skills at this year's camp and into their future seasons.

• K-3 Aux gym, 4-8 in Comp Gym

FEE: $50.00

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: June 8th

Each Camper will receive a Taylor Basketball T-Shirt

Each camper will be given individualized instruction and be drilled on the fundamentals needed to become a complete basketball player. Among the skills and the fundamentals emphasized:

*Shooting

*Passing

*Dribbling

*Pivoting

*Screening Technique

*Defensive Stance and Footwork

*Rebounding

*Offensive Drills

*Camper of the Day

* Fun and Games
