The ability for representatives to submit account authorization requests via their tax software, which gave us instant access to our clients' accounts, was eliminated by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) on July 15, 2025. Three alternatives for authorization are left:
OPTION 1
You provide me with a notice of assessment or notice of reassessment that's at least six months old.
I provide the required information from the document when I submit my authorization request to the CRA.
You sign the CRA's certification page I send to you before I submit it to the CRA. Your signature must be drawn with your finger on your device's screen to be valid.
I submit the signed certification page to the CRA.
While authorization requests are usually processed promptly, the processing times may vary.
OPTION 2
Log into your CRA My Account to authorize me as your representative. These are the details you must enter:

Authorization: All Years, no expiry date.
Please notify me via email or text at 403-560-5168 immediately after authorizing me as your representative.
OPTION 3
If you have trouble logging in or do not have access to your My Account, call the CRA at 1-800-959-8281 and request that an agent authorize me as your representative. You will need to provide the agent with the following details:

New clients after July 15, 2025: Use one of the three remaining alternatives below to authorize me as a representative on your account.

I prepare your tax return using the information you provide, your CRA account details, and the latest tax regulations.
After payment, you can review your entire income tax return by clicking on the link provided. You will also receive the filing authorization link via email.

After you sign the authorization, I electronically submit your tax return to the CRA. Once your tax return is submitted, you will receive an email with a link to access the filing confirmation and notice of assessment.

Clearance Certificate request: $30
TX19 Clearance Certificate request for a final tax return. Submitted to CRA when the final (deceased) tax return's notice of assessment is issued.
Full review of a filed return: $55
Includes recreating the tax return, preparing, and submitting the form T1-ADJ T1 Adjustment request as needed.
Simple adjustment (up to 3 items) of a filed return: $30
Involves preparing and filing the T1 Adjustment request form for any necessary adjustments.
GST return only, each reporting period: $50
If creating a spreadsheet detailing GST collected and paid using your invoices and receipts requires additional time, an hourly rate will apply. Return summary securely sent via download link.
Hourly rate: $35/hour
Hourly rate for work not covered in this fee schedule, including but not limited to:
Dealing with CRA case letters received by the client. Includes submitting the requested documents to CRA.
Creating a spreadsheet for sole proprietor income and expenses using the client’s financial records.
Calling the CRA when the client insists on me calling. Includes my time spent on hold.
T776 for each Rental income address: $75
House, condo, room, garage, etc.
T2125 for each self-employment business: $75
Sole proprietor with no employees, not incorporated.
T2125 for each Uber, Skip, Doordash, etc. self-employment business: $75
Including other ride-sharing/food delivery services and other types of gig work.
Each T777 for Employment expenses: $30
The client needs to obtain and submit a signed and completed T2200 form from their employer.
Each TL2 for Meals & Lodging expenses for transportation employees: $30
The client needs to obtain a TL2 form from the employer and complete Parts 1 & 2; the employer completes and signs Part 3.
T1-M for Moving expenses: $30
You must move at least 40 km closer to a current or new job, or to attend a post-secondary educational institute full-time, to qualify for moving expenses.
Document/information retrieval from CRA account: $35/hour
Hourly rate for downloading and delivering online mail, documents, or other information from the client's CRA account at their request, and securely sent via download link.
Printed copy, T1 General tax return only: $10
The T2125 Statement of Business Activities and/or T776 Statement of Real Estate Rentals are included when applicable. Delivery by Canada Post regular mail is included.
Printed copy, whole tax return: $25
A printed copy of the whole tax return, including all worksheets. Delivery by Canada Post regular mail is included.
Sending an EFILE-excluded tax return to the CRA: $20
Sending an EFILE-excluded tax return to the CRA by registered mail.
Shipping the client's documents by Xpresspost: $40
Shipping your documents back to you by Xpresspost large envelope.
Cannot be combined with other discounts or promotions.
Loyalty discount: $5
Automatically applied during billing for all returning clients.
Multiple-year discount: $5
Applied during billing to each tax return when the same person has 4 or more tax returns over multiple years.
Referral discount: $10
Applied during billing for each person or couple you refer who becomes a tax client.
Couples discount: $10
Applied during billing to all married and common-law couples.
Senior discount: $10
Applied during billing to all seniors aged 65 and over.
Low-income discount: $20
Applied during billing to people whose total income is less than $24,000.

A non-refundable deposit of $25 per tax return is required from all new clients before I start the work. The outstanding balance is due when the tax returns are ready for filing.
A non-refundable deposit of $50 is required for any work – except tax return preparation – that is estimated to take two (2) hours or more to complete. The outstanding balance is due when the service is ready for delivery.
No tax return is filed or service delivered until full payment is received. No exceptions!
