Tavo (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides a mobile application that allows customers to book restaurant tables and enables restaurants to manage their profiles, seating layouts, menus, booking schedules, and reservations.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how advertising works in Tavo, and the choices available to you.
By using Tavo, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
When you create an account or sign in, we collect:
Email address
Authentication credentials, handled securely through Firebase Authentication and, if you choose it, Google Sign-In
Account role (Customer or Restaurant)
We do not store your password in plain text.
If you sign in with Google, Google provides us with the account information you authorize, typically your email address and basic profile identifiers needed to create or link your Tavo account.
For restaurant accounts, we also collect:
Restaurant name
Restaurant address
Phone number
Email address
Booking schedule
Menu items you add
Table and floor layout information you provide
When a customer books a table, we collect:
Selected restaurant
Selected table
Booking date and time
Party size
Customer account ID
Customer email address
Booking status
Restaurants can view reservation details for bookings made at their restaurant.
Restaurant users may choose to scan a printed menu using the device camera or photo library.
Scanning uses Google ML Kit for on-device text recognition to suggest:
Item name
Item description
Price
The following applies to menu scanning:
We do not upload the photo to our servers.
Extracted text is stored only if you save the menu item.
You can refuse camera or photo access.
Menu items can still be entered manually without camera or photo access.
We may automatically collect:
App version
Basic device and operating-system information
Network connectivity status, to check whether the App can reach our services
Crash and performance reports through Firebase Crashlytics
Usage events such as app opens, screen views, and booking-related actions through Firebase Analytics
Local preferences stored on your device, such as temporary sign-in link settings and ad-frequency counters
Tavo is free and displays advertisements provided by Unity Ads (Unity Technologies).
To serve, measure, and, where allowed, personalize advertisements, Unity and its advertising partners may collect or receive:
Advertising ID, such as Google Advertising ID (GAID) on Android
IP address
Device and app identifiers
Approximate location derived from IP address
Device type
Operating system version
Language
Time zone
Similar technical information
Ad impressions
Ad clicks
Ad views
Rewarded video completion information
We do not send your name, email address, restaurant profile, or booking details to Unity Ads for advertising targeting.
Restaurant accounts may receive local notifications on their device when a new booking is created while the App is installed.
If you contact us for support or report a bug, we may collect the information you provide, including:

Provide restaurant booking functionality
Manage restaurant profiles, menus, seating layouts, schedules, and reservations

Tavo displays advertisements through Unity Ads, including:
Banner ads on customer and restaurant dashboards
Interstitial (full-screen) ads after repeated use of dashboard shortcuts
Rewarded video ads that you choose to watch before certain actions, such as booking a new table as a customer or viewing new bookings as a restaurant
Advertisements are labeled.
Rewarded ads are shown only after you tap to watch. You can decline a rewarded ad. If an action requires a rewarded advertisement, that action will not be completed until the required ad is finished, unless no ad is available.
Ads are not shown in a manner intended for children.
Debug builds of the App use Unity test ads only. Production releases show live advertisements.
You can limit advertising personalization through Android settings. Depending on your device and Android version, options may include:
Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID
or
Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization
If you reset or delete your Advertising ID, advertisements may still appear, but they may be less relevant or personalized.
Unity's privacy practices are described in its privacy policies:
We do not sell your personal information for money.
We share information only as needed to operate and improve the service.
Customers can view restaurant information needed for booking, such as:
Restaurant name
Address
Phone number
Email address
Menu
Table layouts
Restaurants can view reservation information for bookings made at their restaurant, including:
Customer email address
Party size
Booking date and time
Selected table
Other booking details necessary to manage the reservation
We use the following service providers:
Google Firebase — Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config, and related infrastructure
Google Sign-In — If you choose Google as your sign-in method
Google ML Kit — On-device text recognition for optional menu scanning
Unity Ads — Advertising
These providers process information according to their respective privacy policies.

Your account information, restaurant information, seating layouts, menus, and reservation data are stored using Google Firebase services, including:
Cloud Firestore
Firebase Authentication
Advertising data is processed by Unity Ads on its systems.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate for an application of this type.
However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure.
We retain your information for as long as your account remains active or as necessary to provide our services.
If you delete your account from within the App using:
Settings → Delete my account
we delete your user profile and any restaurant data associated with that account that we manage.
Some information may remain temporarily in:
Backups
Logs
Security records
Information may also be retained where required by law.
Advertising partners may retain advertising identifiers and related logs according to their own retention policies.
Important: Uninstalling the App does not automatically delete your account or server-side data.
Depending on your country or region, you may have the right to:
Access your personal information

Delete your personal information
Object to certain processing
Restrict certain processing
Exercise applicable rights relating to advertising and personalization

Update restaurant profile information

If you are located in the EEA, UK, or a similar jurisdiction, we may rely on the following legal bases where applicable:
Performance of a contract: To provide the booking service and related functionality
Legitimate interests: For security, analytics, service improvement, and keeping the App free through advertising
Consent: Where consent is required for personalized advertising or optional permissions, such as camera and notifications
If you are a California resident, we do not sell personal information for money.
However, the use of Advertising ID for personalized advertisements may be considered a “share” under California law.
You can opt out of advertising personalization through your device's advertising settings and by contacting us.
Tavo is not directed to children and is not intended for anyone under the age of 13, or the minimum legal age required in your country.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We do not use Unity Ads in a child-directed manner.
If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can take appropriate steps to remove it.
Our service providers, including Google and Unity, may process information in the United States or other countries where they operate.
Those countries may have data-protection laws that differ from the laws in your country.
By using Tavo, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in these countries as described in this Privacy Policy.

Their privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policies and are not covered by this Privacy Policy.
Tapping an advertisement may open the advertiser's website or an app-store listing.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
When we make changes:
The updated Privacy Policy will be published on this page.
The Effective Date at the top of this Privacy Policy will be updated.
Your continued use of Tavo after changes to this Privacy Policy constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
