After your artist cleans your tattoo and takes some photos of it, they’ll apply a protective film over the entire tattoo.
Remember to remove the initial protective tattoo film within the first 24 hours.
To remove the film:
- Do it under the shower after letting water run through it.
- Lift a corner of the film and pull it downwards towards the center of the tattoo until it’s completely removed.
- Wash the tattoo with soap and water, gently dry it, and let it breathe for a few minutes before applying a new foil given by your artist.
Keep the new foil on for 4 to 6 days. During this time, you can take quick showers as the foil is waterproof.
When you’re ready to remove the film, do it under the shower after letting some water run through it.
Let it air dry and start using an aftercare cream.
Apply the cream once or twice a day until it heals, and then you can show off your amazing new ink with pride!
