TatkaarSoul represents rhythm at the feet and devotion in the soul. Here, footwork becomes meditation and dance becomes an offering.
Dance has been a part of my life since childhood. My journey in Kathak began when I first stepped onto the stage at the age of five. Over the years, this journey has shaped me not only as a performer but also as a lifelong student of this timeless art form.
Driven by my passion for Indian classical arts, I received my formal Kathak training in the Lucknow Gharana under the guidance of Smt. Shyamali Bhanja. I also pursued Sangeet Visharad in classical singing from Sarbabharatiya Sangeet-O-Sanskriti Parishad, which strengthened my foundation in Indian classical music and enriched my understanding of rhythm and expression.
Currently, I am advancing my Kathak training in the Farukhabad Gharana under the mentorship of Smt. Samraggi Ghosh, a disciple of the legendary Ustad Sabir Khan ji, further deepening my understanding of the advanced nuances of this art form.
In 2018, I founded Sanjukta’s Dance & Performing Arts in Hyderabad with the vision of creating a nurturing space where students can experience the beauty, discipline, and spiritual depth of Indian classical dance. My aim has always been not only to teach technique but also to pass on the values, tradition, and cultural heritage that Kathak represents.
Through this academy, I hope to inspire young dancers to explore their creativity, develop confidence, and carry forward the timeless legacy of Indian classical arts.
