During his senior year, Tate worked as an inaugural fellow at Kentucky's Spectrum News 1 branch, helping with the daily broadcasts during his final two semesters at U of L.
The nine-month fellowship had him writing scripts for segments, recording and editing packages for practice, and manning the booth during recordings.
