Profile
I am currently a postdoctoral fellow at National Center for Theoretical Sciences (NCTS) mentored by Professor Chung-Jun Tsai.
I completed my PhD in the School of Mathematics at University of Leeds, researching Instantons on manifolds of exceptional holonomy, supervised by Dr Derek Harland and Dr Gerasim Kokarev. The title of my PhD thesis is Instantons on Asymptotically Conical Spin(7)-Manifolds.
I completed M.Sc in Pure Mathematics at University of Calcutta, India. I have done my master's dissertation on the topic Introduction to Seiberg-Witten Gauge Theory on 4-Manifolds. Most of the work on the project was carried out at International Centre for Theoretical Sciences (ICTS-TIFR), Bengaluru, India, as a visiting researcher.
Research interests
Broadly, my research area is Geometry and Mathematical Physics. I am interested in Gauge Theory as well as various other geometric structures arising from Quantum Field Theory, Particle Physics, Supergravity and String Theory.
I am currently interested in the study of Instantons and manifolds of exceptional holonomy. My recent focus includes Instantons on Asymptotically Conical G_2 and Spin(7) manifolds, Instantons on asymptotically locally conical (ALC) manifolds, Heterotic Superstring Solitons and Coupled Instantons, Hermitian and Hyper-Hermitian Yang-Mills Connections, and Deformed Donaldson-Thomas Connections.
I am also working on (pseudo-)Riemannian geometric structures on the Moduli spaces of Compact Spin(7) manifolds and possible applications in M-Theory/F-Theory Compactification.
I am also interested in Yang-Mills Equations and Instanton in 4-Dimensions, Euclidean and Hyperbolic Monopoles, Calorons, Topological Solitons (Skyrmions, Vortices, Kinks), Higgs bundles and Hitchin systems, Seiberg-Witten and Generalized Seiberg-Witten theories, Vafa-Witten theory, Kapustin-Witten theory, Mirror Symmetry, Gromov-Witten Theory; and want to explore these areas and their interplay more in future.
Here is my CV.
