Want to bless kids in need this holiday season?
“See a need … Fill a need”
We desire to demonstrate God’s grace by blessing the less fortunate through meeting their needs and ministering to their hearts.
We began as a group of believers with a passionate heart to love and serve people experiencing homelessness in Cincinnati. Our dedicated, growing group is devoted to serving this community by meeting people exactly where they are – just like Jesus does. Our greeting “Have you been blessed today?” often opens the door for conversations and opportunities to share the love of Christ.
We are now officially a 501C3 non-profit! We have no overhead as everything we do is done from our own homes or at partner organizations. We are 100% volunteer staffed and driven.
Our Volunteers also periodically join together to support other outreach ministries in our area such as:
Lighthouse Youth Services
Wesley Chapel Mission Center
Freestore Food Bank
Hands Against Hunger
Matthew 25 Ministries
City Gospel Mission
Being raised in church and having experienced God’s goodness, his mercy and grace – I am who I am because of Him. Not perfect just forgiven! I host a weekly bible study and am a Realtor by trade - I consider myself to be a ‘people person’.
Seven or eight years ago I met Cathy (my now co-founder) and we became quick friends. We discovered our mutual passion of helping others – we took that passion to the streets and never looked back!! Its by God’s grace that we, TOGM, are where we are today!
For me ‘it’s a blessing to be a blessing’ and oh the joy that comes along with giving! There are so many individuals who are down on their luck; sometimes they are just ‘stuck’ for a season of their lives and others it could be stemming from a more in depth personal past that has them where they are in life. Its not for me to be the judge and jury but it is our duty as Christians to help! The creation of Taste of Grace Ministries allows me the opportunity to be God’s Hands and Feet and to give back to my community!
I have always had a heart for the underdog and felt called to do something. We felt like God was leading us and we followed his will and 7 years ago we became TOGM. Our prayer is that we always let God drive ‘this’ bus and that his will not ours be done.
I have been serving in one capacity or another my entire adult life…husband, children, clients, job…ugh. But when I felt the call to serve the Lord, things changed. I found joy in service. Col 3:23 “whatever you do, work heartily as for the Lord and not for men”. I found joy in serving my family, my job, my church, my community. I discovered that joy in the Lord comes from service. It’s my happy place.
Then I met Angie! Our desire to share God’s grace and compassion was mutual. So when our bible study group was challenged by our Pastor to get out of our comfort zone and find a way to serve the community. What started as help and support to one third grade classroom turned into serving the entire South Elementary school in Mt. Healthy.
Our biggest projects are Thanksgiving meal boxes and our Angel Tree Christmas program. From there we began serving those living on the streets of downtown Cincinnati with lunches, hot drinks, and hygiene bags. We don’t ask them to find us or come to us, we hit the streets and meet people where they are. Actually, we pray that the Lord send them our way!
TOGM has grown to include so many servants of the Lord from so many different churches and backgrounds. It is simply amazing!
