My main research interests include topics on sentiment analysis and opinion mining, and syntactic, semantic and discourse modeling and parsing. I am a founding member of the SBC Special Interest Group on Natural Language Processing (CE-PLN) and have worked to advance the technology of Portuguese language processing, aiming to bring it to the state of the art. In particular, I have a special appreciation for teaching and knowledge sharing.
