Identification of Potential Sectors and Involved Technologies Implementable in Line with 4IR for the Energy Sector, 2023 - 2024
Supervised by: Dr. A. B. M. Alim Al Islam
we are investigating the potential sectors to upgrade in line with the 4IR technologies in the Energy and Mineral Division Resources of the Bangladesh Government. For the initial step of this research, we prepared a questionnaire. We surveyed the associated government officials to weigh their acquaintance and readiness to get trained to adapt to the implementation of high technologies. After quantitative and qualitative analysis of the results, we are now working on identifying the potential sectors and the applicable technologies.
Privacy Perspectives of Shared Mobile Phones Within Households over Three Generations in Bangladesh, 2023
Supervised by: Dr. A. B. M. Alim Al Islam
we are studying the prevalent trends of mobile phone-sharing practices within households over three generations in Bangladesh and how this impacts family bondings. After a thorough literature review, I prepared a questionnaire and started the survey by interviewing eleven people of targetted categories. We are employing qualitative analysis of the responses. From this analysis, we aim to discover the presumed privacy concerns and conventional mitigating strategies of such concerns owing to shared mobile phones within households.
Intelligent Imputation of Missing Values in A Real Criminal, International Conference on Application of Artificial Intelligence in Engineering, Business, Law, Teaching-Learning, Commerce and Industry, 2023, BUET Undergraduate Thesis, 2022
Supervised by: Dr. A. B. M. Alim Al Islam
We worked on the problem of handling the missing values in a criminal dataset. We first analyzed the impact of missing values and evaluated the results of employing statistical methods of missing value imputation over the "Global Terrorism Database." Afterwards, we explored and compared the performances of several traditional machine learning algorithms and a custom-built deep learning model to impute the missing values in the dataset. Finally, we proposed an ensemble model, which chooses the best among the ML or DL models considering the performances.
Indoor and Outdoor 3D Model Engineering of Full/Partial BUET Campus, 2020 - 2021
Supervised by: Dr. A. B. M. Alim Al Islam
In this project, we intended to work on indoor and outdoor 3D model engineering on our university campus. After investigating and evaluating several open-source implementations of SLAM algorithms, we performed a feasibility analysis on the 3D modelling of the university campus with the help of IR tools.
Supervised by: Dr. Md. Shamsuzzoha Bayzid
We worked on an optimization problem in computer phylogeny to estimate a species tree from gene trees, minimizing Duplication, Loss, and Extra Lineage. Here, we tested the efficacy of a novel algorithm devised by the supervisor of the research project, Asst. Prof. Dr. Md. S. Bayzid sir. The project builds upon the foundation laid out in a prior paper, namely "Inferring Optimal Species Trees under Gene Duplication and Loss".
