ABOUT ME
Research Assistant, Next-generation Computing (NeC) Research Group, Department of CSE, BUET
Former Software Engineer, IQVIA, USA
B.Sc. Graduate, Department of Computer Science, Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET), Dhaka, Bangladesh
I am currently working as a research assistant in the Next-generation Computing (NeC) Research Group, CSE, BUET, led by Dr. A. B. M. Alim Al Islam. My primary research focus is Human-Computer Interaction augmented by interdisciplinary (Data Science, Machine Learning) techniques. Specifically user research, usability evaluation, and tool development.
I have about a year of experience working as a software engineer at IQVIA. It is an American multinational company that serves the combined industries of health information technology and clinical research. I had been working as a backend development engineer in the KPI Library team performing feature development, feature enhancement, defect/bug analysis and constructing the fix. During my tenure working as a developer, I have gathered practical knowledge of how user input and perception influence the development process of a product. This experience vastly impacted my research in HCI.
Prior to starting my professional career, I completed my undergrad in Computer Science and Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET).Â
Here is a link to my CV (updated as of late 2023).
Apart from my academic and professional endeavours, I pursue the occasional hobby of painting and journaling. I mostly paint landscapes in watercolour, gouache and acrylic. Ghibli movies and different shades of sky are my muse. Painting and journaling work as a stress reliever for me.
