TNP relates to planning matters (the use and development of land) and has been prepared in accordance with the statutory requirements and processes set out in the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 (as amended by the Localism Act 2011) and the Neighbourhood Planning Regulations 2012 (as amended).
TNP does not deal with county matters (mineral extraction and waste development), nationally significant infrastructure or any other matters set out in Section 61K of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990.
TNP proposal relates to the Tasley designated neighbourhood area and to no other area. There are no other Neighbourhood Plans relating to that neighbourhood area.

Consultants at AECOM have prepared Design Codes and Guidelines for Tasley PC in conjunction with key members of the TNPSG. The finished document forms part of the evidence base for the review of the Tasley Neighbourhood Plan on design- related issues.
The purpose of this document is to:
Positively influence the character and design of new development within the Neighbourhood Area (NA);
Set out clear analysis of the local context and character, providing evidence and examples to influence design across the different parts of the NA, focusing on topics where improvement is most needed;
Benchmark how design improvements should be delivered throughout the design and planning stages, from site selection, to detailed design and maintenance requirements.
The report cannot influence the quantum, location or type of development; other tools in the Neighbourhood Plan and Local Plan should cover these.
Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) and Habitats Regulations Assessment (HRA) screening are crucial parts of developing a neighbourhood plan.
SEA screening determines if the plan's policies and proposals are likely to have significant environmental effects, while HRA screening assesses potential impacts on European protected wildlife sites.
The Neighbourhood Plan has been produced by the community, with the support of Tasley Parish Council, using the views of the residents of Tasley, and has been brought together by a Consultant from Kirkwells Ltd Planning Consultants.
The Tasley Neighbourhood Planning Steering Group has consulted with and listened to the community on a wide range of issues that will influence the well-being, sustainability and long-term preservation of this community.
Every effort has been made to ensure that the views and policies contained in this document reflect those of the majority of Tasley’s residents.
Note: whilst the Tasley Neighbourhood Plan is NOT proposing any development sites ; developers such as those responsible for the new building in Tasley are required to contribute funds to local authorities to cover infrastructure requirements.
This funding, known as the Community Investment Levy (CIL) is split between the local authority (i.e Shropshire Council) and the local community through the Parish Council, i.e. Tasley Parish Council.
Folowing on from the Reg 15 submission, Shropshire Council will organise a referendum for Tasley residents to have the final say on whether the Tasley Neighbourhood Plan becomes a statutory document and part of the Shropshire planning framework.
If approved it would then be used by Shropshire Council as part of the process of determining planning applications.
The Tasley Neighbourhood Plan (TNP) sets out the planning policies we have prepared to achieve the best outcomes for Tasley Parish and is the result of the consultations we have held with the local community to understand their needs and desires for the future of this parish.
