NextGenLab ("we", "us", "our") built TaskWiseAI ("the App") for Android. The App is free to download, is supported by ads, and offers an optional paid subscription ("Premium") with a free trial. This page explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.
Information you create in the App
Your tasks, habits, goals, notes, reminders and settings are stored only in a local database on your device. The App does not require an account or sign-in, and we do not upload this content to our own servers.
Items you delete are kept in the App's trash for 30 days so you can restore them, then removed automatically. Uninstalling the App or clearing its storage permanently deletes all of your content.
The only exception is when you choose to use an AI feature (see the AI features section below).
Information collected automatically by third-party services
The App uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify your device:
Firebase Analytics (Google)
Purpose: understanding how the App is used so we can improve it.
Information: app usage events (screens viewed, features used), device model, operating system version, language, approximate region (derived from IP address), app-instance identifier.
Firebase Crashlytics (Google)
Purpose: detecting and fixing crashes.
Information: crash logs and stack traces, device model, operating system version, app state at the time of the crash, app-instance identifier.
Firebase Remote Config (Google)
Purpose: delivering App settings without an update.
Information: app-instance identifier, App version, device language and region.
Google AdMob and Google User Messaging Platform
Purpose: showing ads in the free version, and asking for consent where required by law.
Information: advertising ID, IP address, device information, ad interactions.
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, we ask for your consent before showing personalized ads. You can change your choice at any time from the App.

Google Play Billing
Purpose: processing Premium subscriptions and free trials.
Information: your payment details are handled entirely by Google Play. We never see your card or payment information. We only receive the status of your purchase (for example: active, in trial, expired) so the App can unlock Premium features.

AI features (Google Gemini)
Some Premium features use artificial intelligence provided by Google Gemini:
AI goal suggestions suggests steps and habits for a goal.
AI progress review reviews your progress on a goal based on your short survey answers.
AI chat answers questions about planning your tasks and goals.
What is sent. Only when you actively use one of these features, the App sends the text needed for that request directly to Google's Gemini API. Depending on the feature, this may include: the goal's title, reason and deadline; its steps, linked tasks and habits and their progress; your survey answers; and the messages you type in AI chat. Nothing is sent if you do not use AI features.
What is not sent. We do not send your name, email, contacts, location or advertising ID to the AI service.
How it is processed. The request is processed by Google under the Gemini API terms and Google's Privacy Policy. Depending on the service tier, Google may retain requests for a limited time and may use them to improve its services. We do not store your AI requests or responses on our own servers.
Your control.
AI results are only suggestions. Nothing is added to your plan unless you select it.
Please do not enter sensitive personal information (such as health, financial or identity details) into AI features.
If you do not want your data processed by AI, simply do not use the AI features. All core features of the App work without AI.

Notifications
Reminders are scheduled locally on your device and do not require sending your data anywhere. You can turn notifications off in the App or in your device settings.
How we use information
We use the information described above to:
provide, maintain and improve the App;
understand how the App is used and fix errors;
provide Premium features and manage subscriptions and free trials;
show ads, including personalized ads where you have consented;
prevent fraud, ad fraud and abuse.
We do not sell your personal information. Except as described in this policy, or when required by law, regulation, or a court or government authority, we do not share your personal information with any company, organization or individual.
Permissions
The App requests only the permissions it needs:
Notifications to show reminders.
Internet and network state for ads, AI features, purchases and settings.
Run at startup to restore your reminders after the device restarts.
The App does not access your contacts, photos, camera, microphone or location.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information. All communication with the services above is encrypted (HTTPS). However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights and choices
Depending on the laws where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can:
Delete your App content: delete items in the App, or uninstall the App / clear its storage.
Manage personalized ads: change your consent in the App, or reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings (Settings Google Ads).
Revoke permissions: at any time in your device settings.
Manage your subscription: in Google Play Payments & subscriptions Subscriptions.

Children's privacy
The App is not directed to anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have accidentally collected such information, we will delete it as soon as possible. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

The App may contain links to other websites, such as Google Play. These sites are not operated by us, and we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Please review their privacy policies.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a new effective date and take effect when posted. Please review this page periodically.
