Solo India Tech ("we," "our," or "us") operates the TaskOnWay mobile application (the "App") for Android and iOS. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our App and the choices you have associated with that data.

We use your data to provide and improve the App. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information Collection and Use

We collect several different types of information for various purposes to provide and improve our service to you.

A. Location Data (CRITICAL)

• Background Location Access: To trigger alerts and alarms when you are near your task locations, TaskOnWay requires access to your device's location.

• How We Use It: We collect and monitor your location data even when the App is closed, running in the background, or not in active use to detect if you have entered a geofence associated with a task.

• User Consent: Background location is strictly opt-in. You will be prompted to grant "Allow all the time" (Android) or "Always Allow" (iOS) permission. You can revoke this access at any time through your device settings. Location data used for geofencing is processed locally on your device and synced securely with Cloud Firestore if you utilize group-sharing features.

B. Personal Data

While using our App, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you ("Personal Data"). This includes:

• Email Address & Name: Used for Firebase Authentication, account registration, and syncing tasks across your devices.

• Phone Number (Optional): Used to identify and connect with group/family members.

• Profile Image: If uploaded, it is stored in Firebase Storage to display your profile to members within your shared groups.

C. Media & Device Permissions

• Camera & Storage: Required if you choose to attach photos/images to your tasks.

• Microphone / Speech Recognition: Used strictly if you choose to create tasks using voice commands.

• Notifications & Alarms: Used to send push notifications, ring alarms, and play voice prompts for due and nearby tasks.

2. In-App Purchases and Billing

We offer premium subscription plans ("TOW Premium") processed through official app stores:

• Android: Google Play Billing Library.

• iOS: Apple App Store In-App Purchases. All transactions are handled securely by Google and Apple. We do not store or collect your payment card details. We only store a secure token in Cloud Firestore to verify your subscription entitlement status.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

We employ third-party companies and services to facilitate our App, perform Service-related tasks, or assist us in analyzing how our App is used. These third parties have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

• Google Play Services & Apple App Store: For app distribution and in-app billing.

• Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Cloud Messaging, Storage): For account management, secure real-time task syncing, database storage, and push notifications.

• Google Maps API: To display map screens, search locations, and configure task locations.

• Google AdMob: To display advertisements to free users. AdMob may collect device identifiers and cookies to show personalized ads.

• Gemini AI API (Google): For premium users, we utilize the Gemini API to analyze task details and generate dynamic, context-aware smart voice notifications (e.g., announcing priorities and coordinates). Your task texts are sent securely to Google's API to generate this audio narrative.

4. Data Security & Retention

The security of your data is important to us. We secure your database records using Google Firebase's industry-standard security protocols. Your personal tasks, group details, and location configurations remain encrypted in transit and at rest. We retain your Personal Data only for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time directly through the App settings.

5. Children's Privacy

Our App does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document.
