BaldApps

BaldApps is a collection of Android applications and automation plug-ins developed by Italian software developer Marco Stornelli. The apps are primarily designed to extend Tasker and other Android automation platforms by exposing system functions, device data and third-party services as configurable actions, events and conditions.

The name BaldApps is used by Stornelli as the collective brand for his Android software. His Google Play developer profile describes the catalogue under that name and presents the applications as utilities for advanced or “smart” device use.

The suite has sometimes been compared with João Dias’s AutoApps, another family of Tasker extensions. BaldApps, however, is an independent project and is not affiliated with AutoApps or Tasker’s developer.

The BaldApps suite is no longer avaliable, but details are avaliable on the Wayback Machine and you can download the APKs (with caution) via sites like APKMirror or APKPure.

Functionality

BaldApps plug-ins use Android’s automation plug-in architecture to make functions available inside compatible applications. Depending on the plug-in, these functions may include:

interacting with notifications and the device lock screen;
sending intents and handling files;
accessing email, contacts and calendars;
performing network, Bluetooth, NFC and casting operations;
obtaining location, weather and activity information;
