LECTURER'S NAME : Wan Nor Asmah binti Arshad
SUBJECT : TSLB 3563 ( Creative Writing in Primary ESL Classroom)
" The learning process is a transformative journey that not only enriches our minds but also empowers us to uncover new perspectives, conquer challenges, and embrace growth, fostering a lifelong passion for knowledge and discovery"
In the name of Allah The Most Gracious and The Most Merciful,
All praise be to Allah, the Lord of all worlds. I express my gratitude for the abundant blessings bestowed upon me, and I send blessings and peace upon the esteemed Prophet Muhammad
S.A.W. With His grace, I have also managed to complete the given task.
To begin, I would like to express my sincere appreciation and extend my heartfelt thanks to our dedicated Course Facilitator for the Classroom Language for Teachers for our group from the Language Department of Institut Pendidikan Guru Kampus Pulau Pinang (IPGMKPP), Madam Marsilah binti Mohamad Isa . Her guidance and unwavering support have been invaluable in assisting us in completing the assigned task without any errors and by the specifications set by the Institut Pendidikan Guru Malaysia (IPGM) and especially the Ministry of Education Malaysia (MOE).
Furthermore, I would like to express my profound gratitude to my beloved mother, Annis binti Adnan, and my father, Abdul Hazif bin Abdul Hamid, who have always provided moral support and encouragement in accomplishing this task. Without their support, especially the heartfelt prayers they offer for their children, we as their children may not have reached this point.
Next, I would like to extend my appreciation to my groupmates and even those who are not in my group but have consistently provided encouragement, constructive criticism, and advice to ensure my commitment to completing the assigned task. Many discussions and references were discussed in producing this important assignment as we pursue our aspirations as educators committed to educating our nation's children.
In conclusion, I would like to end my speech by expressing my heartfelt gratitude once again to all parties involved, whether directly or indirectly, in successfully completing this coursework assignment. In closing, thank you very much.
Welcome to the survey titled “Exploring the Impact of Creative Writing in the ESL Classroom.”
This survey is designed to understand how creative writing activities — such as fictional storytelling, non-fiction poster writing, and poetry appreciation — help pupils improve their English learning experience.
Through activities like Goldilocks and the Three Bears (fiction), Malaysian Children’s Favourite Food (non-fiction), and The Swings (poem), pupils are encouraged to use their imagination, express their thoughts, and develop language skills in enjoyable ways.
Your responses will help the teacher evaluate how creative writing supports your learning in areas such as vocabulary, grammar, expression, and confidence in using English.
Please answer each question honestly. There are no right or wrong answers — only your own experiences and opinions matter.
Thank you for taking part in this reflection and for helping to make English learning more creative and meaningful!
