Abhay Meena, known as Tashimev, is also a young rapper, producer and a writer who debuted in 2022. He released his first project BLADEWORK in 2025, an EP that showcased sharp lyricism and a unique style while pushing creative boundaries. A rebellious artist at heart, he brings raw energy and defiance into his music. He is the founder and owner of the independent group KATALIYAAM. Now entering his prime, he continues to refine his craft and evolve with every release.
He comes from a middle-class family, raised in a place where corruption is common and silence is normalised. Rap entered his life through the music of Bohemia, played on loop, especially tracks like Kali Denali and songs from the Da Rap Star album. In the early days, he performed Bohemia cover songs on stage, and rapping slowly became a voice that needed to be expressed. At first, it was driven by attention. In tracks like Londe Mere Gel, he stepped into a wannabe gangster image, chasing validation. Over time, he realised that being fake brings noise, not satisfaction, and that his real self could not be expressed through borrowed personas. Listening to artists known for clarity and conviction helped him. From that point, his ideology became clear: never be fake.
This outlook also explains why he maintains a certain distance from much of the DHH landscape. In his view, art without honesty, depth, and emotion feels temporary, especially in a time when technology can easily imitate sound and style. For him, creativity is not confined to music alone—whether through songwriting, production, or visual art, he expresses whatever he feels in the moment, allowing emotion to flow freely without censorship. His work is driven by a strong awareness of life’s urgency and the responsibility that comes with having a voice, yet he prefers reflection over noise and intent over spectacle. He often finds himself questioning the emotional numbness of the world around him, as if meaningful conversations are being drowned out by distraction. Rather than leaning into surface-level themes, he is drawn to ideas of purpose, ambition, and transformation, believing that true influence comes from impact, not display. While this intensity fuels his creative vision, he is careful about what he shares publicly. Some of his most controversial or unfiltered work is kept private—shared only within trusted circles or held back for the future—allowing him to protect the essence of his ideas while ensuring that his art remains honest, evolving, and uncompromised.
