Research-Informed Systems and Equity (RISE) is an initiative from the ECRN Policy HUB that seeks to advance disability justice through collaborative research and education that is aimed at systems change. This program will provide connection, resources, and support to increase opportunities for both authentic co-research and co-teaching that represent and are driven by individuals within the disability community and early career professionals. Our goal is to create initiatives that bring together university faculty/staff, self-advocates, families, and communities in authentic and meaningful ways.

RISE is specifically focused on building implementation models that move the field forward through lived experiences of those within the disability community. Through our partnerships, RISE seeks to expand disability-centered co-teaching and co-research opportunities as a resource for other institutions and communities.
