At the ECRN TASH Policy Hub, we are committed to making this website usable for as many people as possible, including individuals with disabilities. Our work centers on disability rights, inclusive access to education, and systems change through equitable policies at the federal and state levels. As such, we view digital accessibility as an essential part of that mission.

Our approach

On this site, we aim to:

• Design our pages so that information is organized, predictable, and compatible with screen readers and other assistive technologies.

• Use clear language, headings, lists, and labels to support navigation for all self-advocates, families, researchers, educators, disability allies, and policymakers.

• Maintain sufficient color contrast and readable font sizes to support users with low vision or reading difficulties.

Because this website was built using Google tools, it has the benefits of Google’s built‑in accessibility features, which include support for screen readers, keyboard navigation, and accessibility options in Google Docs, Slides, and other embedded content.

What we are working on

We are committed to actively working to improve:

• Our accessibility of PDFs, slides (i.e., PowerPoint, Google), and any other downloadable resources by moving toward more accessible formats (e.g., tagged PDFs or accessible documents)

• Captioning and transcripts will be included and when possible embedded in all media that we share (e.g., recorded webinars or policy briefs)https://edu.google.com/intl/ALL_us/our-values/accessibility/

• Ongoing review of our pages using accessibility tools and user feedback to identify and address all barriers to usability.

Some aspects of accessibility are controlled by the underlying Google Sites platform and may be outside our direct control, but we will adjust everything we can to improve the experience.
