If you want professional-grade monitoring for studio work or long listening sessions with a durable metal frame, choose Tascam TH-200X; if you need a lightweight, colorful wired option specifically designed for USB-C devices and casual use, choose ADOOPE Over-Ear Headphones.
• Tascam TH-200X: Its biggest strength is the rugged stainless steel construction and precise frequency response tailored for audio professionals, but it is a purely wired unit without modern wireless convenience. This pick is for musicians, engineers, and anyone who needs a reliable tool for critical listening in a studio or practice space.
• ADOOPE Over-Ear Headphones: Its biggest strength is its specialized USB-C connectivity and vibrant color options for everyday device integration, though it lacks the extended frequency range of professional monitors. This pick is for students, casual listeners, and users looking for a simple plug-and-play solution for their specific tech ecosystem.
The Tascam TH-200X is built like a piece of equipment rather than just an accessory. When I look at the specifications, the first thing that stands out is the enclosure material: stainless steel. In a market where many headphones rely on plastic to cut costs and weight, Tascam has doubled down on durability here. The frame is described as adjustable and sturdy, designed to withstand the rigors of a recording studio or a busy classroom environment. The headband features tightly stitched padding, which suggests a focus on long-term comfort. If you are planning to wear these for hours while mixing tracks or tracking instruments, that extra cushioning against a rigid metal frame is a significant design choice that prioritizes stability over flimsy flexibility.
The audio profile of the TH-200X is clearly engineered for accuracy. With a 40mm neodymium magnet drive and a dynamic converter, the frequency range spans from 15Hz to 22kHz. That lower cutoff of 15Hz is a technical detail that matters significantly for professionals who need to hear the sub-bass frequencies in music production. Most consumer headphones start their range closer to 20Hz, so this extension allows for a fuller, more complete soundstage when analyzing low-end instruments. The closed-back design further enhances this by providing sound isolation, ensuring that external noise doesn't bleed into your monitoring and that your mix remains accurate.

This product is ideal for the serious student musician or the hobbyist producer who treats their gear with respect. The inclusion of both 3.5mm and 6.35mm jacks indicates a versatility meant for various interfaces, from simple phone adapters to professional audio mixers. The cable length is noted as elongated, a practical feature for moving around a room during a session without being tethered to a desk. You must be willing to manage cables to get the most out of this headphone. If you value build quality and sonic fidelity over portability and wireless freedom, the TH-200X is a serious contender. Conversely, if you are looking for something that requires zero setup or batteries, this might feel too rigid and tethered for your lifestyle.
In contrast, the ADOOPE Over-Ear Headphones take a different approach, focusing heavily on modern connectivity and user-friendly design for the mass market. The standout feature here is the USB-C connector. While many competitors still rely on the older 3.5mm jack or require dongles, ADOOPE has integrated the connection directly into the audio path for USB-C devices. This makes them an excellent fit for the current generation of smartphones, tablets, and laptops that have moved away from traditional headphone ports. The description highlights "Flex Your Fit" and "Comfort Ear Cushions," suggesting a design philosophy centered on immediate usability and ease of adjustment without complex mechanisms.
The aesthetic choice of "Plum" color sets this apart from the industry-standard black often found in professional gear. It signals a product intended for personal expression rather than neutral utility. The weight is listed at 0.25 kg, which translates to a reasonably light build compared to the heavier-duty stainless steel construction of the Tascam. For a child or a student carrying these in a backpack all day, that reduced weight can make a noticeable difference in fatigue levels. The frequency range of 20Hz to 20,000 Hz covers the standard audible spectrum for human hearing, making them perfectly adequate for streaming music, watching videos, or online classes. They are not trying to measure the subtle nuances of a mastering engineer's mix; they are trying to deliver clear, enjoyable sound for daily consumption.
These headphones are perfect for the "kid" demographic mentioned in the search intent, as well as any user who wants a hassle-free connection. The fact that they come with a two-year manufacturer warranty provides a layer of security for parents or budget-conscious buyers who might worry about accidental damage or defects. The sound isolation provided by the ear cups ensures privacy in shared spaces like dorm rooms or libraries. However, the lack of a wider frequency range means they won't reveal the deepest bass notes as effectively as the Tascam. If you are an audiophile looking for every detail in a track, you might find the ADOOPE slightly less revealing. But for general entertainment, schoolwork, and casual listening on USB-C devices, the simplicity and direct connectivity offer a streamlined experience that the Tascam cannot match.

After weighing the technical specifications and real-world applications, I would buy the Tascam TH-200X for my own needs. While the ADOOPE offers convenient USB-C connectivity, the Tascam's stainless steel construction and superior frequency response make it a more versatile investment for long-term use. I am particularly drawn to the 15Hz lower limit, which promises a richer audio experience that cheaper headphones simply cannot replicate. However, if I were buying for a kid who primarily uses a USB-C tablet for school and streaming, I would switch my recommendation to the ADOOPE Over-Ear Headphones. The color, the light weight, and the direct connectivity remove the friction of adapters and make it a much more practical choice for a younger user. Ultimately, the Tascam wins on performance and longevity, while the ADOOPE wins on modern convenience and accessibility.
The Tascam TH-200X is better suited for gaming that requires audio precision, such as competitive shooters where directional cues matter, due to its wider frequency range. The ADOOPE works well for casual gaming on USB-C consoles or PCs but may lack the depth for immersive experiences.
Yes, the Tascam comes with both 3.5mm and 6.35mm jacks, so you will need a specific adapter if your device only has a USB-C port. The ADOOPE does not require an adapter for USB-C devices as it connects directly.
Neither model features a battery or wireless capability; both are fully wired headphones. You do not need to charge either one, as they draw power directly from the audio source via their respective cables.
The Tascam TH-200X appears more robust due to its stainless steel frame, making it resistant to bending and breaking under pressure. The ADOOPE is lighter and likely more flexible, but the metal construction of the Tascam suggests a longer lifespan in rough handling scenarios.
