Tarzly — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Tarzly, operated by Mahammad Abbasli and Irem Saniye Baran ("Tarzly", "we", "us"), collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use the Tarzly mobile app and our online services (the "Service").

1. Who is responsible for your data
The people responsible for your data (the data controllers) are Mahammad Abbasli and Irem Saniye Baran, based in Ankara, Türkiye. You can reach us at tarzly.ai@gmail.com.
2. What data we collect
Information you give us:
• Account information — name, email address, password, and profile details you choose to add.
• Wardrobe photos — images of clothing and accessories you upload to build your digital wardrobe.
• Try-on images — photos of yourself you upload to use the virtual try-on feature, including any images that show your face or body.
• Style preferences — sizes, favorite styles, and choices you make in the app.
• Support messages — anything you send us when you contact support.
Information collected automatically:
• Usage data — features you use, outfits generated, and how you interact with the app.
• Device and technical data — device type, operating system, app version, language, and general (non-precise) location inferred from your IP address.
• Diagnostics — crash and performance logs.
Note: Tarzly is currently free and does not collect payment information. When paid features are introduced, this policy will be updated to describe how payments are handled.
3. How we use your data
• To create and manage your account.
• To provide the core Service: storing your digital wardrobe, generating AI outfit recommendations, running virtual try-on, and calculating analytics such as cost-per-wear.
• To provide customer support.
• To improve and secure the Service, prevent fraud, and fix bugs.
• To send you service-related messages, and — only if you opt in — marketing messages.
4. AI processing
Tarzly uses artificial intelligence to generate styling recommendations and to power virtual try-on. To do this, your wardrobe photos and try-on images are processed by our AI systems and by Google Gemini, the AI service we use to process images and generate recommendations. AI outputs are suggestions only and may not always be accurate. We do not use your photos to train third-party public AI models without your separate consent.
5. Legal bases for processing (GDPR / KVKK)
• Your consent — for processing your photos and try-on images, for any biometric analysis used in virtual try-on, and for marketing. You can withdraw consent at any time.
• Performance of a contract — to provide the Service you signed up for.
• Legitimate interests — to secure the Service, prevent fraud, and improve our product, balanced against your rights.
• Legal obligation — where we must keep records to comply with law.
6. Who we share data with
We share data only with service providers who help us run Tarzly, under contract and only as needed:
• Hosting and database — Supabase (data storage, authentication, image storage).
• AI provider — Google Gemini (provided by Google) to process images and generate recommendations.
We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose data if required by law or to protect our rights. A current list of these service providers is available on request at tarzly.ai@gmail.com.
7. International data transfers
Tarzly is a global service, and your data may be processed in countries outside your own, including outside the EU/EEA and Türkiye. Where we transfer data internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
8. How long we keep your data
• We keep your account and wardrobe data for as long as your account is active.
• When you delete your account, we delete your personal data, including your photos, within 30 days, except where we must retain limited information for legal, security, or fraud-prevention reasons.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to:
• Access the data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Delete your account and data ("right to be forgotten").
• Export a copy of your data (data portability).
• Withdraw consent at any time (for example, turn off photo processing).
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in Türkiye, the Personal Data Protection Authority / KVKK; in the EU, your local authority).

10. Deleting your account
You can delete your account and all associated data:
• In the app: open Settings, then Account, then Delete Account.
• By email: send a request to tarzly.ai@gmail.com.
11. Children
Tarzly is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children under this age. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact tarzly.ai@gmail.com and we will delete it.
12. Security
We use technical and organizational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and signed URLs for stored images — to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app or by email. The "Last updated" date shows the current version.
