Tarot Journal Daily is a simple tarot journal app for card readings, personal notes, reflection, and mood tracking. You can use it to draw one-card, three-card, or daily tarot readings, save your readings, and write reflections for each saved reading.

Tarot Journal Daily (“the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App processes, why it is processed, which third-party services may participate in that processing, and how you can manage or delete your information.
The App is designed to be local-first. You can draw cards, write Notes and Reflections, view the Library, and access local History without signing in.
When you are not signed in or Cloud Sync is not enabled, the following information is generally stored only on your device:
Questions you enter;
Drawn cards, positions, and orientation results;
Notes;
Reflections;
Reflection mood scores;
Local reading history;
Local App settings.
This local information is not automatically uploaded to our servers merely because you use the App.
Deleting the App will generally delete information stored locally on that device. You should preserve any information you wish to keep before deleting the App.
You may choose to use Sign in with Apple to access account-based features.
When you sign in, Apple and Supabase may process:
An account identifier provided by Apple;
Your Supabase user ID;
Your email address, if Apple provides it;
An Apple Private Relay email address, if you choose to hide your email;
Authentication and session information.
The App does not receive your Apple ID password.
Supabase is used to provide authentication, session management, and cloud data services for the App.
Certain features require an active Premium subscription, including:
Cloud Sync;
Auto-Read;
Pinning up to three records in History;
Premium Journal timeline features.
Subscription purchases, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and payment processing are handled by Apple.
We do not receive or store your complete credit card number, bank information, or Apple Account payment password. The App uses transaction and subscription status provided by Apple only to determine whether Premium access is currently active.
Apple processes purchase and payment information under its own privacy policy.
The App sends supported records to Supabase only when you have active Premium access, are signed in, and choose to enable Cloud Sync.
Cloud Sync may store:
Your Supabase user ID;
Reading records you choose to synchronize.
This information is used to:
Back up your reading records;
Restore or synchronize records across your devices;
Keep records consistent across devices.
Turning off Cloud Sync stops normal future synchronization, but it does not automatically delete information that was previously uploaded. You can delete that cloud information by deleting the relevant records or deleting your account.
Auto-Read is a Premium feature. It also requires that you:
Sign in with Apple;
Enable Cloud Sync;
Do not disable Auto-Read.
Before Auto-Read is used for the first time, the App displays a notice and requests your confirmation.
To generate an Auto-Read result, the App’s Supabase Edge Function sends information necessary for the current request to the OpenAI API, including:
Your current question;
The current reading type;
The positions and interpretive roles associated with the current result.
The following user information is not sent to OpenAI:
Your email address;
Notes;
Reflections;
Reflection mood scores;
Your complete reading history;
Apple Account information;
Payment information.
OpenAI processes information necessary for the current request to generate the Auto-Read result. OpenAI may also process or retain request data for a limited period for safety and abuse-monitoring purposes under its API data policy.
You may disable Auto-Read. When it is disabled, new readings will not automatically request a generated result, and Auto-Read-related question validation and network requests will not run.
Under OpenAI’s current API data policy, API data is not used to train OpenAI’s general models by default unless the data owner explicitly opts in.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information for cross-app or cross-website targeted advertising or tracking.
The following third-party providers may process information necessary to provide the App’s features:
Apple: Sign in with Apple, App Store subscriptions, payments, and transaction verification;
Supabase: Authentication, database services, Cloud Sync, and Edge Functions;
OpenAI: Generation of Auto-Read results.
Each provider processes information under its own privacy policy.
We do not disclose personal information to other third parties unless required by law, necessary to protect users or the service, necessary to investigate fraud or abuse, or necessary to provide a service you explicitly request.
Local records remain on your device until you delete the relevant records, clear the App’s data, or delete the App.
Signing out or deleting your cloud account does not automatically delete existing local records from your device.
Cloud Sync data is retained until you delete the relevant records or delete your account.
After you turn off Cloud Sync, the App will stop normally uploading new changes. Previously synchronized cloud data is not automatically deleted merely because Cloud Sync is turned off.
OpenAI may retain API requests and responses for a limited period for safety and abuse-monitoring purposes under its API data policy.
We do not send your Notes, Reflections, Reflection mood scores, email address, or complete reading history to OpenAI.
You may use the Delete Account option on the Account page in the App.
After account deletion:
Your Supabase authentication account will be deleted;
Cloud Sync information associated with the account will be deleted;
Local records on your device will not be automatically deleted.
To remove local records as well, delete the relevant records within the App or delete the App from your device.
We use reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect information, including:
Encrypted network transmission;
Authentication;
Database access controls;
Restrictions preventing ordinary users from directly accessing internal server data.
However, no method of electronic storage or network transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Apple, Supabase, and OpenAI may process information in the United States or other countries and regions. The data-protection laws in those locations may differ from those in your location.
By using features that depend on these services, relevant information may be processed in those locations under this Privacy Policy and the providers’ respective privacy policies.
Depending on the laws applicable in your location, you may have the right to:
Request information about the personal data we maintain;
Request correction of inaccurate information;
Request deletion of your account and associated cloud data;
Delete individual reading records;
Disable Cloud Sync;
Disable Auto-Read;
Revoke Sign in with Apple authorization;
Object to or request restrictions on certain processing;
Contact us with a privacy-related question.
You can manage or revoke Sign in with Apple authorization through your Apple Account settings.
The App is not specifically directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children known to be under 13.
If a parent or guardian believes that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us using the email address below.
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App’s features, service providers, or legal requirements change.
The updated version will be posted on the App’s privacy-policy webpage, and the effective date will be revised.
If an update materially changes how user information is processed, we will provide notice through the App or another appropriate method when reasonably practical.
