Logistics

Main service: MHP, Backup service: MON.  

1. The outpatient team should page the MHP admission pager (0587) seven days prior to planned admission for C1D1 and C1D8 to inquire whether MHP can accommodate.  MHP is the primary service for these patients. 

   1.  If MHP can accommodate, then place MHP in the pre-admit request

   2. If MHP cannot accommodate, the back up service is MON

      1. If MON is placed in pre-admit request, the outpatient team needs to email and page the MON attending that is on service the day of admission to let them know about the patient

      2. MON attending should relay this to the resident team who will be on service the day of the admission

   3. To submit pre-admit request Outpt team can call admitting at 936-6629 or fill out admission form and email to Nurse-ABC-ATA@med.umich.edu 

2. Patients must be evaluated by the outpatient Oncology physician or APP within 72 hours of the admission

3. Patients will receive tarlatamab in the outpatient setting

4. On the day of admission, the outpatient Oncology physician or APP must page the inpatient team’s admitting pager to give signout (otherwise the patient will not receive a bed assignment from ABCC.)

5. Patients will be admitted for at least 22-24 hours after C1D1 and C1D8 for q 4 hours vitals inpatient for CRS and ICANS monitoring.  If a patient has CRS symptoms during C1D8 admission, the patient will likely be admitted again after C1D15.
