About Me

Tarin Andrea, a Bronx-born mixed-media artist and self-taught graphic designer, crafts handmade jewelry that reflects her New York City roots and her ancestral Mapuche and Diaguita heritage (Wallmapu and Antakari, Chile). Infused with both bold and subtle vibrancy, her pieces aim to provoke change and are created with loving intention, utilizing upcycled materials, re-purposed finds, and ethically sourced Indigenous vendor supplies. She currently resides in Westchester County with her dog, Lily.

Handmade

I love hand-painting because it ensures each earring is subtly unique. While others might perceive these variations as imperfections, I see them as the defining charm that makes each piece special and truly one-of-a-kind.

Sustainability

I deeply enjoy the creative process of reimagining and giving new life to the pieces I acquire. This passion is also driven by a strong belief in minimizing my financial involvement in systems that I feel do not serve us well.

Over the years, Tarin has facilitated intimate, transformative workshops with individuals engaged in deeply challenging work centered on justice and liberation. These gatherings became more than just spaces for learning—they evolved into circles of mutual care, skill-sharing, and affirmation. In each setting, Tarin cultivated environments where participants could connect over lived experiences, explore creative expression as a tool for resilience, and build networks of solidarity. Through her art and teaching, she continues to contribute to a collective movement grounded in healing, empowerment, and community-building.
