The Tariffville School Parent Teacher Organization is a group of volunteer parents, teachers and staff who work together to enhance the educational experience for every child at Tariffville School. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our mission is to promote collaboration, engagement, and support to ensure the best possible educational journey for our students.
How Do We Do This?
Support our Teachers - we provide resources, tools, and support to our amazing teachers.
Foster Community - We organize events and activities that bring families and the school community together, fostering strong relationships. Activities include the Carnival, Family Fun Night, Bingo, and more.
Enrich Learning - We fundraise for educational programs, field trips, and classroom supplies to enhance the learning experience. Last year we provided $3000 to support the 6th grade Camp Jewell trip, $3000 for field trips, and $2600 for cultural performances, amongst other activities.
MEET THE 2026-2027 PTO BOARD
Moira Kenney
CO PRESIDENT
Between their 18 year old son and 14 and 11 year old daughters Moira and her husband Brian have had a student at Tariffville Elementary for over a decade. She is employed as a paraprofessional for Kindergarten students at Latimer Lane School. She has served on the PTO for the multiple years and is looking forward to another wonderful school year working with a fantastic team of parents, teachers, administrators and kids.
Alexa Spatcher
CO PRESIDENT
Alexa and her husband have two daughters, one in fifth grade and one in second grade. This is her fourth year on the PTO Board. Outside of the PTO, Alexa is a Pediatric Nurse at Connecticut Children's and enjoys playing tennis.
Kelly Manoj-John
CO VICE PRESIDENT
Kelly moved to the Tariffville area about eight years ago. She has two daughters; one in fourth grade, one in third grade, and one fur baby. Outside of the PTO she works as a substitute Paraprofessional at Latimer Lane School and as personal chauffeur to her daughter’s as they attend their beloved nightly activities.
Erin Fable
CO VICE PRESIDENT
Erin grew up in Simsbury and has two girls that attend Tariffville School: one in third grade and one in fifth grade. This is her third year on the PTO Board and will be serving in the position of CO-VP as well as chairing both the Spring Carnival and Bingo Night events. She is looking forward to the new school year and connecting with parents & families to make this year fun and memorable for all students
Sabrina Teixeria
TREASURER
Sabrina moved to Tariffville in 2019. She has one son that started second grade this year. She has been volunteering to assist the PTO since her son started kindergarten 2024 and is very excited to officially be on the PTO board this year as the Treasurer. She enjoys everything outdoors. She coaches her sons soccer and baseball teams. She is president of the Tariffville Village Association (a group that plans the annual Halloween Event here in Tariffville). She works for Pratt and Whitney full time and is a U.S. Air Force Veteran.
Alexis Slabinski
SECRETARY
Alexis has lived in Tariffville for 12 years and has a fourth grader at Tariffville School, a freshmen in college and two dogs! She has enjoyed being involved with the PTO Silent Auction Committee the past three years and this will be her third year as Secretary. Outside of the PTO, she works in construction management and loves all things outdoorsy.
