About

I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) from the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST), Dhaka, Bangladesh, in 2016, followed by a Master’s degree in CSE from the same institute in February 2021. I joined Old Dominion University (ODU) in Spring 2022 to pursue a Ph.D. in Computer Science. Before beginning my doctoral studies, I worked as a lecturer in the Department of CSE at MIST.

I have always believed in the motto, “Gain knowledge and spread knowledge.” Throughout my academic journey, I have had the opportunity to explore several important problems where computer science can contribute meaningful solutions, particularly in areas involving human behavior and cognitive science. These experiences inspired me to work on a variety of research projects and strengthened my interest in interdisciplinary research.

My experience as an educator has also greatly shaped the way I view learning and teaching. Working with students from different backgrounds taught me that every individual has their own strengths and potential. Often, what students need most is encouragement, guidance, and an environment where they feel comfortable developing their abilities. This is one of the reasons I have remained passionate about both teaching and research, with the long-term goal of building a career in academia.

My academic journey has not always been straightforward. I have faced setbacks along the way, but I have remained determined to continue working toward my goals. I believe my journey reflects my curiosity, perseverance, willingness to explore different areas, and strong commitment to research, teaching, and continuous learning.

Outside of academics, I enjoy handicrafts and paper crafting, and I am also a pet lover with an interest in microgreens gardening. Some of my other interests include cartography and human psychology. During my free time, I enjoy exploring these topics and learning something new from them.
