TapPulse
Effective Date: October 29, 2026

TapPulse is a general wellness app for personal reference. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, prevent, monitor, or assess the risk of any disease or medical condition.

1. About TapPulse

TapPulse provides camera-based pulse measurements, HRV-related metrics, trends, and wellness estimates. Measurement processing takes place on your device. TapPulse does not require an account or login in this release.

2. Information Stored on Your Device and Analytics

Depending on the features you use, TapPulse may store on your device:

These local records are not sent to our subscription-verification service. You can use the in-app controls to delete individual records or clear local records where available. Removing the App deletes its local data, except that device backups may retain data under your backup settings.

Analytics: TapPulse uses Google Analytics for Firebase, provided by Google, to understand app use and improve the App. Firebase receives app usage events and associated parameters, such as screen views, session activity, onboarding and measurement workflow events, and subscription status. It also collects technical information such as an app instance identifier and device and app information. This analytics information is processed by Google on our behalf. Google may process information in countries outside your own. Learn more at https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy and https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Analytics data is retained according to our Firebase and Google Analytics configuration and applicable requirements. You may contact us at the address in Section 11 with privacy or deletion requests; we will consider requests in accordance with applicable law. Removing the App removes local data but does not by itself delete information already transmitted to Firebase.

3. Third-Party Service List: Google Analytics for Firebase

Provider: Google. Purpose: to understand app usage and improve TapPulse. Information processed: app usage events and associated parameters, including screen views, session activity, onboarding and measurement workflow events, subscription status, an app instance identifier, and device and app information. TapPulse does not send heart-rate values or other health data to Firebase. Google may process this information outside your country. For more information, see https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy and https://policies.google.com/privacy.

4. Camera and Measurement Processing

When you start a measurement, the App uses the rear camera and flash to detect finger coverage and capture changes in light associated with the pulse signal. The App processes the camera frames in real time on your device to assess signal quality and calculate a result. It does not save photos, videos, or raw camera frames, create a facial-recognition template, or send camera frames or raw PPG signals to our servers.

Camera-based measurements depend on signal quality and other factors, including movement, finger placement and pressure, ambient conditions, and device performance. The App may pause a measurement or decline to show a result when the signal is not sufficient.

5. Apple Health

If you grant Apple Health write permission, TapPulse can write successful heart-rate measurement results, in beats per minute (BPM), to Apple Health. TapPulse does not request or use Apple Health read permission in this release and does not read Apple Health data. Apple Health data is not sent to our servers or used for advertising, marketing, data mining, or model training.

6. Subscription and Purchase Verification Data

Subscriptions are purchased through Apple’s in-app purchase system. Apple processes the payment; TapPulse does not receive your payment card or bank-account details.

To verify a purchase, restore a purchase, and determine whether subscription features are available, TapPulse may send Apple-signed transaction or purchase-verification information to our subscription-verification service. This information may include product and offer identifiers, transaction identifiers, purchase and renewal dates, subscription status and expiration information, and limited technical request logs needed to verify the transaction and secure the service. We use it only to verify and administer purchases, provide the subscription benefits, prevent invalid entitlement claims, troubleshoot purchase issues, and meet legal obligations. We do not use purchase-verification data to identify or analyze your health condition, and we do not send your measurement results, profile information, Apple Health data, camera frames, or raw PPG signals as part of subscription verification.

We retain purchase-verification records only as long as reasonably necessary for these purposes, to resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations. Apple handles payment processing and may process data under its own privacy policy. Our service providers may process limited verification data on our behalf to operate the verification service and are required to protect it and use it only for that service.

7. Other Collection, Sharing, and Security

TapPulse does not sell or rent your personal or health information, or use health information for advertising or marketing. We do not use health information for unrelated data mining. If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include, and use it to respond to your request and provide support. The in-app feedback action opens your email app with a draft; nothing is sent unless you choose to send it.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect information handled by the App and subscription-verification service. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

8. Retention and Deletion

Local measurement and profile records can be deleted using the controls available in the App. Apple Health records remain under your control in Apple Health; revoking TapPulse’s write permission prevents future writes but does not delete records already written. Purchase-verification records are retained as described in Section 6. Support emails are retained only as reasonably necessary to respond, protect our rights, or meet legal obligations.

9. Children

TapPulse is not directed to children who are not legally permitted to use the App without required parental consent. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information through the App. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us, contact us using the details below.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy when our data practices, features, or legal requirements change. We will publish the revised Policy with an updated effective date.
