Privacy Policy for TapClock

TapClock is provided by aaammari team, Morocco ("we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how TapClock handles information when you use the Android application.

Summary

TapClock does not require an account and does not collect names, email addresses, contacts, photos, messages, precise location, or the content of your chess games. Your clock settings and game-related preferences are stored on your device. The app uses Google AdMob to show advertisements; Google and its advertising partners may collect certain device and usage data to deliver, measure, secure, and, where permitted, personalize advertising.

Information Handled by TapClock

Information Stored on Your Device

TapClock stores the following information locally on your device using application storage:

• selected time controls, increments, themes, and other app preferences;

• the last selected preset;

• advertising-related preference information needed for app functionality; and

• the expiry time of an ad-free reward earned by watching a rewarded advertisement.

This information is used only to make the app work and to remember your preferences. We do not operate a server that receives this local information.

You can remove this information by clearing TapClock's app data in Android settings or by uninstalling the app.

Audio

TapClock plays optional sound effects. It does not record audio, access the microphone, retain audio recordings, or send audio to us or to third parties.

Advertising and Consent

TapClock uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) to display banner, interstitial, and rewarded advertisements.

Where required by applicable law, the app uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) or other Google-provided consent tools to present advertising privacy choices before requesting ads. You may be able to revisit those choices through Settings > Privacy Choices within the app when available.

When advertisements are requested or displayed, Google and its advertising partners may collect and process information such as:

• device and online identifiers, including the Android Advertising ID and App Set ID where available;

• IP address and information that may be used to infer an approximate location;

• device, operating-system, and app information;

• interactions with advertisements and the app for advertising measurement;

• performance, diagnostic, security, and fraud-prevention information.

This information is processed by Google and may be shared with Google's advertising partners to provide advertisements, measure their effectiveness, prevent fraud, maintain security, and, where permitted by your choices and applicable law, personalize advertising.

We do not sell personal information.

Google may act as an independent data controller for certain advertising-related data processed through AdMob.

Why Information Is Used

We use locally stored information to:

• provide the chess clock functionality;

• remember your settings and preferences;

• manage advertising-related app functionality; and

• grant temporary ad-free rewards earned through rewarded advertisements.

Google and its advertising partners may use advertising-related information for:

• ad delivery;

• advertising measurement;

• security and fraud prevention;

• analytics and diagnostics; and

• ad personalization where permitted by your choices and applicable law.

Legal Basis for Processing

For users in regions where privacy laws require a legal basis for processing personal data, advertising-related processing performed by Google may rely on consent, legitimate interests, contractual necessity, or other legal bases described in Google's privacy documentation and applicable policies.

Sharing

We do not share the locally stored TapClock settings with third parties.

Advertising-related information is handled by Google AdMob and may be shared within Google's advertising ecosystem as described in Google's privacy documentation and applicable advertising policies.

Data Retention and Deletion

Local TapClock data remains on your device until you modify it, clear the app's data, or uninstall the app.

We do not receive or retain this local data on our own servers.

Google retains advertising-related information according to its own policies and retention practices. Please refer to Google's privacy documentation and your Google or Android privacy settings for available controls and choices.

Security

TapClock does not maintain a user-data server.

Advertising-related information transmitted by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is protected in transit using security measures provided by Google, including encryption where applicable.

No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights regarding personal information processed by Google or other advertising partners.

You can:

• manage advertising consent through Settings > Privacy Choices when available;

• reset or delete your Android Advertising ID through Android device settings;

• clear TapClock's local data or uninstall the app to remove locally stored preferences; and

• contact us with privacy-related questions or requests.

Children

TapClock is intended for a general audience and is not directed primarily to children under 13 years of age (or the minimum age required in their country).

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to address the request.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time when the app, applicable laws, or platform requirements change.

The most current version will be made available at the public URL linked from the Google Play Store listing, and the effective date at the top of this policy will be updated accordingly.
