How?

Sing it

Singing it properly is the easiest and most enjoyable to memorize scripture. Awana has the handbook CD in which containing the songs for the bible verse. Listen to the songs throughout the day and they will be singing the verse before you know it.

Index Card,  Sticky Notes

Write each word of the verse on an index card or sticky notes. Scramble up the cards and have your child put the cards in the correct order.

Another way is, first put the words in the correct order. Let the child look at it and read it. Then remove 1, 2 or more cards. Have the child say the verse and tell you what are the missing words. You can do repeat the step. And take around more words as you desire.

Act it out

Put hand motions to the verse and have your child act it out. Or ask your child to come up with their hand motions.

Pass it on

Get an object you can pass back and forth, such as a ball, or a stuffed animal. You and your child stand at a distance apart so that he/she can easily catch it. As you pass the object back and forth, take turns to say a word of the bible verse.

Write it

Simply have the children write it down on paper, copy it a few times, or use different color for each word,
