At TAOLEE Chinese Language Centre, we have created many miracles. We have nurtured hundreds of students in the recent years, who have shown academic excellence and huge improvements within months of joining the class.
Other students, beyond improvements, have topped (1st place) in their cohorts in Oral Exam, Composition Writing, Essay Competition and achieved the Best Progress Award in Chinese in their cohorts.
Besides the stellar academic performance, students with Ms Lee also developed strong, unwavering spirit. Students usually enjoy good relationships and strong rapport with Ms Lee.
P4 Cody Chow (Concord Primary School)
When Cody first joined Ms Lee in Dec 2021, he disliked Chinese and could not converse in Chinese. He failed his Chinese so badly that the school even suggested him to degrade to Basic Chinese. However, after only 5 months with Ms Lee, his result improved drastically. He scored more than 85% in his mid-year exam and scored even better for his final year exam that he is taking P5 Higher Chinese this year.
P5 Brian Gerrard Yeo Yi (De La Salle School)
When Brian first joined Ms Lee in Dec 2021, he could only speak English and could not understand basic Chinese. However, after joining Ms Lee, he garnered the courage to converse in Chinese and started to show interest by asking questions whenever in doubts. With encouragements and his perseverance, he has shown improvement month after month and finally passed his Chinese with flying colors in his final exam. He even topped in Chinese Oral Exam in his class and took everyone by surprise!
S1 Fang Yu Yao Javier (St Patrick's School)
Javier joined Ms Lee in 2021. He was a very shy, introverted and soft-spoken student. He was not confident of his Chinese conversation skills and have problems understanding at times. After a few lessons with Ms Lee, he began to speak up and converse more, and write his essay better. His school teacher even praised him for being proactive in Chinese class and he has proved himself to be capable of overcoming all difficulties.
Sec 3 Alexander Thong (Taipei European School) 2023
Alexander was studying in South View Primary (one of the top primary school in Singapore) and was struggling with P4 Higher Chinese before he joined Ms Lee. After merely 4 months with Ms Lee, his essay score improved from 8/15 to 13/15. His Higher Chinese also improved drastically to grade A. Today, he continued to be one of the best students with Ms Lee and went on to take the 1st place in essay competition writing in his Junior High School in Taiwan.
Sec 3 Rey Jien (School of Science and Technology) 2023
Today, Rey Jien is a Sec 2 student studying in School of Science and Technology (SST). He remains to be one of the top students with Ms Lee. Despite the huge learning gap between P6 and Sec 1, today, he scored A1 in his Chinese.
P6 Ryner Chee (Yew Tee Primary) 2022
Ryner was a Chinese borderline student when he first joined Ms Lee in 2021. He was afraid of making mistakes and was struggling a lot in the beginning. With huge determination, he continued to show constant improvement in his academic result, he even creatively used Chinese idioms in his English essay that his essay was selected for top model essay. He went on to become one of the highest score (>40 marks out of 50) in P6 Oral Prelim Exam. Finally, he graduated with AL4 (above 75%) in his PSLE Chinese, the best score he has ever dreamed of.

P6 GEP HCL Shanice Tang Xi (Raffles Girls' Primary) 2023
Shanice first joined Ms Lee in 2021. She improved from 80% to >90% and has scored AL1 in her P5 EOY Chinese.
Today, she enjoyed Chinese stories, history and literature such as The Three Warring States 《三国演义》.
P6 Liv Penelope Tay (Raffles Girls' Primary) 2021
Liv was a borderline student before she joined Ms Lee in 2021. She has tried some of the top tuition center and was not helpful. She was not confident and was constantly struggling in the beginning. After 9 months with Ms Lee, she drastically improved to AL4 (>75%) in her PSLE. A result she could never dream of!
Today, she remains to be one of the proud students of Ms Lee. She continues to improve and score well for Secondary 1 Chinese despite the huge learning gap.
Sec 3 HCL Ong Jie Min (Chua Chu Kang Secondary) 2023
Jie Min was a P5 De La Salle student when she first joined Ms Lee in 2019. She was introverted, very soft-spoken and was slow to open up. After months with Ms Lee, she began to read Chinese in confidence and was not afraid to challenge herself. She improved from C to A in just a year. As a student who has never taken Higher Chinese in Primary School, she continued to challenge herself in Secondary School and was promoted to Sec 1 Higher Chinese. Today, she remained as one of the best students with Ms Lee.
Sec 3 HCL Beatrice Yeo Ning (Christ Church Secondary) 2023
Beatrice joined Ms Lee only in late 2020, her PSLE year. She improved from grade B to A in merely 2 months with Ms Lee. Similar to Jie Min, she has never taken Higher Chinese in Primary School. However, due to her stellar performance in Sec 1, she was recommended to take Sec 1 Higher Chinese in her mid-year and with encouragement and confidence from Ms Lee, she took it with courage and continues to score well in Higher Chinese today.
P6 Chloe (Methodist Girls' School) 2022
Chloe was a mediocre student in Chinese before she joined Ms Lee in late 2022. Never did she expect she would enjoy Chinese class so much. After less than 2 months with Ms Lee, her grade improved drastically to AL2 (>85%) in her PSLE. Today, she continues to soar in Methodist Girls' Secondary School.
Sec 3 Anais Tang Min (Presbyterian High School)
Anais only joined Ms Lee in 2021 when she was in Sec 1. Writing Chinese has always been the greatest hurdle for her as she cannot recall, affecting other score-heavy areas especially Comprehension & Essay Writing. After roughly a year with Ms Lee, her score went from C6 to A2 in Sec 2 EOY Exam. She also developed great interest in Chinese and was passionate about introducing new Chinese dramas and music to her peers!
P5 Calynn (Methodist Girls' School) 2022
Calynn was a shy and soft-spoken student when she first joined Ms Lee. She was not able to converse smoothly in Chinese and has difficulties understanding at times. After some months with Ms Lee, she began to exude confidence in her spoken Chinese, going on to score almost full marks 38/40 for her P5 mid-year Oral Exam and also AL2 for her Chinese.
P6 Sophee Tay Zi Xin (Raffles Girls' Primary) 2022
Also a soft-spoken student lacking in confidence, she has always been a mediocre in her Chinese. After roughly a year with Ms Lee, she went on to excel in her PSLE Chinese with AL3 (>80%).
Today, she is a more confident and out-spoken student in her Secondary.
P6 Judy Goh (Yuhua Primary)
Judy only joined Ms Lee 3 months before PSLE. Before that, she did not have good experiences with previous tutors. After knowing Ms Lee, she began to pick up techniques and methodologies she has never come to know.
She improved from AL5 to AL2 in her PSLE and went on to Nan Hua Secondary School.
