The 8 days lemosho route is one of the most scenic and successful routes on Mount Kilimanjaro. Starting on the western side of the Mountain, the trail passes through rainforest, moorland, alpine desert, and ararctic ic summit zones before reaching Uhuru Peak (5,895m). The longer itinerary for better Accommodation, increasing summit succes rate while offering breathtaking views and a less crowded trekking experience. Around midnight, the ascents begins fro Barafu to Uhuru peak (5,895m), passing through steep screen slopes and the freezing Arctic zone under headlamp light. After reaching Uhuru peak, climbers take photos and celebrate briefly before starting the long descent back to barafu camp for rest

It is steep and tiring downhill walk, usually taking most of the day, but it mark the final stage of the climb.

Day 8- Mweka camp to Mweka Gate to Hitel.
After living Mweka camp, the the trail continues steeply downhill through lush montane rainforest. The path is often muddy and slippery as you descend for about 3-5 hours until reaching Mweka get at the base of mount Kilimanjaro.
At Mweka gate, climbers complete final registration, receive their summit certificates, and meet their transfer vehicles. From here, you drive for about 1.5-2 hrs back to your hotel in Moshi or Arusha to rest and celebrate successful climb.
In short: it's the final stage of the Kilimanjaro journey a long forest descent, a formal exit at the gate, then a smooth road transfer back to your hotel.
