We will start our time in Tanzania at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro and explore Ngorongoro Crater one of the most famous parks in the Serengeti Ecosystem in Mara and Simiyu region synonymous with wildlife and classic African scenery. It is one of Tanzania’s oldest parks and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is home to the spectacular wildebeest migration and offers top-class wildlife viewing throughout the year.
We will take a short flight to enjoy the beautiful white sand beaches of Zanzibar, located in the Indian Ocean 15 miles off the coast of Tanzania. The Zanzibar archipelago is one of the most historic Indian Ocean islands, awash with atmosphere, intrigue, and idyllic beach experiences. This enchanted island is home to one of the most famous full moon beach parties in the world, making Zanzibar a fabulous New Year's Eve destination.

Dawn Booker, founder and owner Pack Light Global Destinations is a global communication strategist with more than 20 years of experience advising private and public entities in the areas of communications strategy, marketing, brand management, public relations, and economic development marketing. Her International perspective has been honed through work, study and travel experience in more than 20 countries. "I Started Pack Light Global to encourage women of color who are 40+ to see the world, I want women to Pack Light, shedding all baggage that keeps us from experiencing global travel." After falling in love with Paris on a trip with her mom and daughter, Dawn vowed to "live in Paris someday". In her mid-40s she moved to Paris to pursue a graduate degree at the American University of Paris and has been traveling non-stop since. Dawn teaches and mentors as an adjunct Journalism professor at Bennett College, in Greensboro, NC and Global Communications Lecturer at The American University of Paris.
Our host in Tanzania, Justa Lujwangana started her company, Curious on Tanzania, out of a need to introduce her friends to her vibrant, mysterious, adventurous and relaxing homeland of Tanzania, East Africa. Curious on Tanzania creates authentic travel educational experiences through cultural immersion activities. Lujwangana also brings sustainable socio-economic development to the community by promoting ecologically and culturally sensitive business activities for the purpose of community building, employment, and economic self-reliance.
Justa describes herself as a Tanzanian-Brooklynite, storyteller and curious traveler on a mission to visit every corner of Tanzania, while sharing with her audience/guests the beauty of what her beloved country has to offer.
