Phone Tracker
Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 12-09-2025
Welcome to TanyDev – Phone Tracker. This Privacy Policy is intended to inform you about how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (Phone Tracker - Find Lost Phone App). Your trust is important to us, and we are committed to protecting your personal data while delivering useful tracking and safety functionalities. By using TanyDev, you agree to the practices outlined in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Information We Collect and Why
Our app requires access to certain types of information and system features in order to work properly. We only collect data necessary for functionality and do not sell or misuse your personal information. Link to privacy policy of third party service providers used by the app
1. Location Information
ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION: We use this permission to access your precise GPS location. This is core to the app’s functionality, allowing users to track devices accurately in real-time. It helps with navigation, locating lost devices, and enabling safety features like geofencing.
Location data is only visible to users within your approved circle and is never shared with third parties.
2. Notifications and Alerts
POST_NOTIFICATIONS: This permission enables the app to send real-time alerts and status updates, including location changes, safety notifications, or SOS messages. Notifications are a critical part of helping you stay informed about important events related to device tracking.
3. Scheduled Tasks and Boot Access
SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM: This is used to set accurate timing for location updates or reminders—especially useful in scheduled monitoring or periodic check-ins.
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: This allows the app to resume operations such as tracking and alarms after the device is restarted. Without it, core functionality may not persist between reboots.
4. Contact Access
READ_CONTACTS: This permission is used to access your contact list so the app can identify and match mobile numbers with names saved in your device’s contacts. This enhances the mobile number tracking feature by allowing you to recognize incoming or tracked numbers more easily. We use this access only locally on your device; your contact list is not uploaded, stored externally, or shared with any third parties. We do not use your contact information for advertising or marketing purposes. Access to your contacts is strictly used to improve functionality and user experience within the app.
5. Camera Access
CAMERA: This permission is used to access your device’s camera for capturing photos directly within the app, particularly in features related to the GPS map camera
6. User Interface and System Integration
USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT: Allows the app to present full-screen notifications during high-priority events, such as emergencies or real-time SOS alerts.
WAKE_LOCK: Enables the app to keep the screen or CPU awake briefly to ensure that critical processes (like SOS activation or alarm scheduling) complete properly.
SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW: This allows the app to display overlays or floating windows during important events (e.g., showing a panic alert UI). We use this responsibly and only when essential for safety-related actions.
7. Battery Optimization Control
REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS: Modern Android systems may shut down background tasks to save battery. This permission lets TanyDev request that it be exempted so it can reliably track and alert even when the app isn’t in the foreground.
8. Notification Policy Access
ACCESS_NOTIFICATION_POLICY: Optionally used to silence your phone during specific safety modes, such as driving or quiet hours, as part of your custom configuration. This enhances safety and reduces distractions.
9. Foreground Services
FOREGROUND_SERVICE: Allows the app to keep necessary tracking and alert systems active in the foreground, complying with Android’s background processing rules.
FOREGROUND_SERVICE_LOCATION: Specifically allows location updates to function reliably while the app is in the foreground and tracking is enabled.
