I am Tanya, a vocal coach, piano teacher and music educator with over 15 years of experience helping singers and musicians develop their skills, confidence and love for music.
Whether you are a beginner discovering your voice or an experienced singer preparing for performances, I provide personalised lessons designed around your individual goals and musical journey.
My teaching combines vocal technique, piano skills, music theory and performance training in a supportive and inspiring environment. I believe that every person has a unique voice and that learning music should be enjoyable, creative and confidence-building.
Alongside my teaching practice, I am currently completing my PhD research in music education, focusing on “Children’s Vocal Groups as a Pedagogical Environment for Developing Vocal-Choral Habits.” My research explores how group singing can support young singers in developing healthy vocal technique, musical awareness, teamwork and confidence.
My approach to vocal training is also influenced by the Cheryl Porter Vocal Method, which focuses on developing vocal freedom, healthy technique, musical expression and confidence through engaging and practical exercises.
My aim is to help students not only improve their abilities but also experience the joy of making music and expressing themselves through singing and performance.
