Frames Extraction from YUV Sequences and Implementation of Proposed Methodology to Reduce Encoding Time Complexity of VVC

Firstly, each frame was extracted from YUV sequences (e.g. BasktekballPass_416x240_50.yuv, Traffic_2560x1600_30.yuv). Secondly, converted it into grayscale and then padded the grayscale image to convert it into a multiple of 128x128 blocks. Afterwards, Sobel edge detection operator was applied separately both in horizontal & vertical directions.

CTU Partition decisions as well as Ground Truth Values were extracted from VVC reference software VTM_20.2 and stored in text files. These text files for each corresponding frames were drawn using matplotlib.patches and then plotted using matplotlib.pyplolt in Google Colab.
