Hello, this is your guide to joining Tanki Tournament Events and becoming a participant! We host 2 tournaments every month, all information will be in the discord server, which can be joined by clicking on this link here: https://discord.gg/djxahqYvYM
1) In #announcements, there will be either 1) a poll, where you can vote on what the next tournament will be, what battle parameters are put in place (e.g. drop boxes, smart supplies, Micro-Upgrades, etc) or 2) The tournament staff will decide on a specific combination of turrets/hulls and will let you know.
2) Once you know the format, you can do 1 of 2 things.
1) Decide that you don’t want to participate in this tournament (don’t worry we won’t be offended) or
2) Wait for #announcements where Sabry or chinufire1 will post a link to a google form, where you have to a) agree to the tournament and server rules, found in #tournament-rules and #server-rules, b) state to us your Tanki IGN and c) state to us your discord tag so we can identify you on the server. We allow players to usually have 2-3 days to sign up, because if you are unable to sign up to a tournament within 3 days, it is usually unlikely that you will be able to play matches regularly.
3) Once you have signed up, we have a text channel called #registered-participants, where you will see your nickname, followed by your discord tag. If there are any issues such as typos, please DM Sabry or chinufire1. You can also see the other participants and how many participants there are.
4) Hopefully you have signed up to our tournament, and we use an external website called https://challonge.com/ . This is to keep track of which players have won which matches. You can also follow along your own progress to see your potential opponents
5) When the challenge bracket is live, you will be able to see your opponent, You will be put into a private channel on the server with your opponent and it is BOTH of your duties to communicate with each other to find a time to play against each other within 2 days. Once you have agreed on a date and time, we wait till that time arrives, and when you are about to play, use the @RefereePing. This will notify all Referees to your text channel and they will come to spectate your match. This is so if anything goes wrong, we are aware, and if someone is cheating, hacking, etc, we have evidence. Once each round is finished, take a screenshot of the final battle score and paste it in the #results page.
6) Then your job is done. If you lost, then we are sorry, but if you won, congrats! You advance. We will update the challenge bracket and you will find out your next opponent. Then you repeat the process again until you win or are knocked out.
7) If you come 1st, 2nd or 3rd you are eligible for a prize, and we will contact you with your prizes
