so out of all the alternatives, i chose reddit because the general feeling there is that helpful people want to help you DIY for as cheap as possible- which is sometething that i feel relates well to the tangle toys. i want to make easily searchable guides for tangle problems, and make it easy to discuss the stim toy.

I didnt like the tumblr platform for a number of reasons. i couldn't respond well to people, i didnt know how to tag people, interaction was limited- discouraging people from talking to eachother, and also i couldnt search or organize anything. and then the porn ban was the last straw for me. so out of all the alternatives, i chose reddit because the general feeling there is that helpful people want to help you DIY for as cheap as possible- which is sometething that i feel relates well to the tangle toys. i want to make easily searchable guides for tangle problems, and make it easy to discuss the stim toy. I don't want to be the first to make a post (ill be working on the wiki and moving posts from tumblr to reddit for a while) so i have a challenge for all tangle lovers- post your favorite pictures of tangles to cristen the new site!

I recently fixed my tangle! It was squeaky and loose in some links, so I took the whole thing apart and soaked them in soapy water in the sink for 10 mins. most. Then, I took Q-tips to clean off the links closer, especially the ones with dirt on them. Then, I dried them off w/ a towel, (used compressed air to make sure all the water was out of the links) and filed down some of the links with a nail file and added nail polish to the loose links. I let it dry, put it back together! :)

I first saw the tangle in a youtube video, and i always wanted to try it. when i saw it at a museum gift shop, i bought it immediately. I became obsessed with it when i realized how visually interesting they look, and how good they feel in my hands. Despite being neurotypical, the tangle helped me study in school and calm down when stressed or anxious.

I was wondering if you could help me at all, I have a tangle (a plain plastic one) and I really like it but I can't stand the noise it makes! Something about the plastic hitting together really bothers me. I'm trying to find an alternative that feels the same but doesn't make noise, any ideas? I don't like felt or sticky stuff so the rubber and fuzzy tangles are no good. Are there any types of tangles that are plastic but don't make noise?

howdy! out of curiosity, can you buy custom tangles of whatever colors you want, or do you have to custom make them? if so, do you buy spare parts for them or just put various pieces of them together? i want a custom tangle really bad since ive lost all my stim toys lol

Some etsy shops will sell custom tangles, such as tangles with silicone spikes or sparkly plastic gemstones attached to the pieces. As for custom color combinations, I have made my own. I made an all-clear tangle by buying 3 tangles that all had 6 clear links each. And then i bought a fourth tangle with a varied color combination so that I could mix and match the patterns.

This is my little guy that had a cracked peice. I removed that peice and another, and then put it together like this. Its only really good for sliding the loops around, the twisting of the body is difficult for one hand. As far as stimming sensation goes, I like the tangle in its original form. But this is nice for a change of pace.

My kids are a little young for this but have you heard of the fidget spinners? Apparently they are all the rage right now with school aged children. Luckily my kids have not caught that obsession yet. But this Christmas they are going to be playing with another toy perfect to get out the fidgets, Tangle from Zuru!

The soil is blackened with years of the north farm's manure.Speckled green lifts from the unseen white flecks of lettuce seed sown weeks earlier.Faith. Hope. Charity. The large words of religion tangle with this mundane mix of sunshine and cow shit, rain, and the discipline to do, and wait. [End Page 75]

The best catfish trip I ever took was on Hunting Creek in Calvert County with Ebbie Smith, a lifelong resident. We fished the old-fashioned way, using 12-foot cane poles with a length of crab string on the end and a big chunk of soft crab for bait stuck on a hook. The cats lurked around toppled trees along the banks, looking for food. You dangled a soft crab around the submerged limbs and when a catfish struck, yanked him out before he could tangle you up. Hoisting a flailing, angry 10-pounder into the boat was some fun, but it was about as far from fly-fishing as you could get.

"King" knocks down the wall between the famous and the average, but not in the way Rupert, in his imagined friendship with Jerry, desires. Scorsese puts you in the celebrity/artist's shoes and asks, "Do you have an obligation to be nice to every pest? Should you be held responsible for every unstable person who reads something into your work that isn't there?" "King" slams the People magazine culture that feeds on Americans' obsession with the rich and famous. In the film's piercing final sequence, Rupert's actions produce the desired effect -- he gets on TV, his face appears on magazine covers, he lands a book deal. And that ending threw off moviegoers who had been waiting for this insufferable loser to get his comeuppance.

What prevents "King" from being a filmmaker's elitist rant about keeping the little people in their place is that Scorsese and Zimmerman want us to feel some sympathy for Rupert's pathetic misunderstanding of the order of things. So Jerry accepts that, OK, maybe he is a little too skilled at seeming like everybody's friend -- the same way that maybe Scorsese's movies are a little too flirtatiously dark, his thugs and Mafiosos and psychos a little too heroic and alive. But Scorsese stops well short of accepting responsibility for fathering the real-life Travis Bickles and Rupert Pupkins who stalk the land. Art reflects society; society is troubled. It's an ages-old tangle.

He shapes short books, and, in all, they are over a thousand pages deep. He tells the same story over and over again, and a reader would not misplace a character, a reflection, a description even. It is with the perils of obsession that he is vigilantly obsessed. 006ab0faaa
