Breaking Chains
Breaking Chains

2019, an unfortunate year,
Virus underestimated by man,
The coronavirus that we now fear.
And thus, a life of quarantine began.
Establishments and other businesses,
Some were bankrupt, went under, and shut down.
And we, the people, are all witnesses
To the fall of the country that we own.
Heroes we never recognized rose up,
Wearing PPE’s, instead of red capes.
A challenge we couldn’t face, they took up,
Sacrificing their lives under the drapes.
Thus the need for us to adapt and change,
To the pandemic that won’t keep us trapped.
