ON CENTER STAGE
ON CENTER STAGE

A vast sea far and wide stares all around,
Heart pounding, breathing ragged, silence heed.
Eyes roaming high and low, a friend I found,
Not so below, eyes flashing as light needs.
Shapes dreadful, mist spread cloudy, a calling.
Laced feet, glued. Sweat down my neck iced in place.
Fear the shadows, loss of breath, eyes bawling.
The end, eternal. Hope it will be haste.
Waiting in anticipation, a show,
Drifting like the wind. Tranquil echoing.
Lights above me, shaking platform below,
A star shines, uproar applause narrowing.
At last, the end, hard work shall conquer all.
Thanks for the support, no matter how small.
