My research interests include: Urban and Housing Economics, Transportation, Environmental Economics and Economics of Crime. I am interested in evaluating the effectiveness of spatial and regional policies in achieving its intended outcomes with focus on causal inference. 

Some of my research appeared in journals including Journal of Public Economics, Journal of Urban Economics, Journal of Economic Geography, Energy Economics, Land Economics, PLOS One, Social Science & Medicine, and Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics, and were cited in the media including Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Los Angeles Times, ScienceNews, Forbes etc.

I received my undergraduate and masters degree from the National University of Singapore, and my PhD from the London School of Economics.
