TANDEM has multiple meanings. 

First, TANDEM is an acronym which stands for Together Advanced and Novices Develop the Entrepreneurial Mindset. For this project, Samara University students will lead the design challenge projects with assistance from Afar rural youth involved with the Afar Pastoralist Development Association.

Second, TANDEM is a symbol of co-creation, which is a critical component of the design thinking process. The university students and Afar rural youth will conduct customer discovery within the local woredas of Dubti and Teru. The project is also supported by research efforts of Purdue University, Butler University, and Colorado State University- Pueblo.

This project website is used as a GUIDE to summarize the project steps and serve as a repository of project efforts.
