While the Inquisition’s political maneuvering reshapes the world around them, faithful templar Lysette and irritable alchemist Adan form their own alliance.

The world is falling apart—literally. Lysette's faith is unshaken, but her will and her nerves are tested as demons rain from the sky. Only the appearance of a so-called 'Herald of Andraste' spares her life. Torn between gratitude and skepticism, but determined to repay her debt, she volunteers to join the fledgling Inquisition.
