We embrace the spirit of exploration, resilience, and teamwork, while pushing the boundaries of what's possible in the world of remote-controlled aircraft.
Our team will be competing in the Micro classification where the primary goal is to design a RC aircraft that will demonstrate how to effectively fly with and without a water payload. This years SAE AERO Micro class rules were based off recent wildfire increases around the globe.
About Us
After a handful of challenges within the recent years, TAMUK SAE AERO will be competing in its second SAE AERO DESIGN collegiate competition in May 2025. Led by a few determined minds who were able to bring together a hard working team.
Leaders within the Aero Design team have been able to create an atmosphere that encourages individuals to work hard, while emphasizing that no challenge is too big if its important enough to you. Our sub teams were created based off specific tasks needed for the project. Giving each member an opportunity to have a role that fits their experience level and expertise, this allows for a smoother demonstration of an individuals skills. Giving them the ability to directly contribute and have responsibilities on this technical project.
Competition
The international SAE Aero competition is held every year which allows for universities from all over the world to meet, challenge, and learn from each other. Each team designs, creates and presents a magnificent aircraft to compete against each other along with presenting a technical design report, oral presentation, and showcase their aircraft in a three day competition.
