Let the Fraternity Values be your Guide!
How will this organization affect my son’s grades?
Scholarship is the key which unlocks the rest of the chapter’s success. As a pledge, your son will be required to spend time in mandatory study hall each week. The chapter also organizes study groups, keeps test files, and has generous scholarship programs to incentivize the academic success of all members. We have a yearly goal of a 3.0 cumulative GPA by our newest pledge class. A member must have at least a 2.6 GPA to join.
What is the financial obligation?
Dues are $100 per member per month during the School year (10 months). There is a New Member Fee of $100.
Payment plans are available to all members – contact the BCA Treasurer to discuss.
What is New Member Education like?
New Membere Education is an 8-10 week process where we allow the new members to grow into the fraternity processes through gaining knowledge of our history, fulfilling scholarship/community service guidelines, and participating in brotherhood events. The chapter takes hazing very seriously (i.e. they take not hazing very seriously) and has worked very hard to eliminate hazing from the new member curriculum. Furthermore, both TAMUCC and Phi Gamma Delta have anti-hazing policies, training, and anonymous anti-hazing hotlines.
